Well Fernando, after the sheaf news you have got my boner instantly raging again.
What Sheaf news? What did I miss?

Really think we need to start getting things properly in place over the next week. Are we loaning out certain players? Are we getting in a new CM with or without Sheaf? (Most of us agreed we need another CM even before the Sheaf news.) Are we getting a new CB and/or backup RB? Or do we do all this right near the end of window once we do/don’t get the Gyokeres/Hamer/Sheaf money? Really hate this point in the window when there’s so much on the line 🫠

I hope Palace either hurry up or fuck off, okay the window’s open for another 3 and a bit weeks but the start of the league is literally just around the corner.

Which I think is messed up. The window should open as soon as the season is over and close the day before the season starts.

This all cannot be determined until our transfer business has been completed. We quite rightly have no idea what is happening behind the scenes and so many scenarios are dependent on each other. It is wrong to say that we need to start getting things properly in place - that process was started in January with the EMC signings. Arguably we are further down the line that any other Championship club Take a look at the Madsen thread by the way.

Not talking about our current starting players, just what we’re doing with potential signings and potential loanees. Should we loan out Tavares, Obikwu and/or Burroughs for example? Should we buy a CM anyway as we currently need one, independent of whether Sheaf goes or not?

We’ve had a decent pre-season and it’s set us up well, just think that we should start thinking about loaning players out and getting in a CB or backup RB if we’re going down that route.

we are going to field a very strong side against Stoke, even without Sheaf or a new CM

For Stoke, yeah it’s a decent side (because they’re shit) but for other teams I feel we could do with players bedding in a bit. Use the easier games like Oxford etc to give them a few mins on the pitch.

In the bits of friendlies I've seen so far we seem to have better fluidity than we did going into last season and that's missing arguably two of our best 3 players in Sheaf and Wright.
Yeah I think that’s largely been due to Rudoni having that free role to link defence and midfield and midfield and attack. He’s going to be absolutely key
