Will be amazed if they get through the opening months without mass fights kicking off after games. Home and away fans literally heading towards each other. If we'd of equalised or won that would've gone off today.

Horrendous planning. And we think the CBS isn't great for it.

I nearly had some handbags when a stoke fan made a snide comment to me (woooooooo) on the way out .. it's a good job he was only 7 or I'd have had the little prick

Don’t really know what the wooing was for. I know they like to alienate Burslem, but they all seem like tramps in Stoke.

We were parked on someone's drive, so we literally walked down the slope where all their fans were walking up. Just me and my lad. Bit tense and there were quite a few derogatory comments, but all OK in the end.

Queuing to get in was a nightmare.

It's the worst located ground in the league. It makes the Ricoh feel like it's in the heart of Coventry City Centre.

However...

The away end in the corner is brilliant. The acoustics are excellent. It creates a bit more of an atmosphere. The past few times we've visited it's been completely silent for 90 minutes. At least today it felt noisy for 5 minutes.

Their fans were weird after the Twist and Shout. Too many knocks on the head after spending last Saturday trying to smash their town up and being chased about by police.

A really strange change around of the away fans . It accommodates more away fans , so more money into their coffers , but as previously texted by others , this is a walking time bomb . Going through home supporters , after a win, loss or draw , is asking for trouble & their boys caused some problems with a city lad being ko’d by the sports club .
A nightmare to get through their security, scanned & then a second lot frisking you ….. right over the top !

You say this but most at most grounds fans walk out together.

I can think of many grounds like Sunderland, Sheffield United, Leeds, Norwich, Ipswich etc.

It's only new builds like Cov and Stoke where they are obsessed with fencing fans off from each other.

Really poor with entry turnstiles caused massive qeueus insisting on searching everyone but thats the society we now live in with the threats to our safety from certain groups.
coming out no issues I saw but the way they direct away fans straight into the path of the home fans who were obviously chanting shit after their big win is just asking for trouble.
might as well put their ground on the moon for what facilities are around it

I heard a few fans, presume now they were Stoke fans then, going "woooooo" and I was getting a bit irate because I had no idea what it was about.

I was ranting to my brother about how fucking juvenile and weird it is. What actually was it about and was it just kids then?

Half their lot were trashing their own City up this time last week - Sums them up

Let them have it, file it away, move on and we’ll thrash them at our place later in the season

For balance, the behaviour of Coventry City fans near me, who described themselves as "mad cunts", despite being all of about 18 years old, were no better.

Vaping when told not to, mocking the steward (maybe even their accent, but can't say for sure) and being a general pain, whilst every time the steward challenged them telling them to "turn around and watch the game", oblivious to the fact that the guy is doing his job and not there to watch the game.

I hate people with a passion, and some football fans even more, it's just not fun at times listening and witnessing such awful behaviour. Travel to the game, enjoy a pint or whatever, support the team and fuck off home, whilst being civil, why is that so fucking hard for some people?

we had some trouble after the game.

my mate is still in the cells

Stoke fans gobbiest fans in the league
Plod finally caught up with you from last week...?

Or were you unfairly set upon because someone accused you of being fresh off the coach, causing trouble and not integrating?

Or perhaps someone claimed you were a Derby fan?

In the harvester before the game mixed fans - no issues. Walked back to the car after , chatting to a couple of stokies. No issues.
Could have been different if we had scored but that’s how it should be. Yeh take the piss, bit of banter but don’t see the need for trouble.

funny thing is supported city for over 40 years travelling away every season to at least 15 away games every year including the 80s when hooliganism was supposedly rife and not ever been attacked or arrested.
you only get trouble if your looking for it and Im afraid Gimoc if you and your mates were arrested or stopped by the old bill its because you were acting like twats

All we heard was wooooo from the comedy geniuses. I called them tramps walking down the hill to the coaches and a copper had the cheek to tell me to zip it but nothing to them so I let him know that we might have lost but at least I didn't have to live in Stoke. I doubt he gave a flying fek but they wound me up so it made me feel better for two minutes. Be interesting to see if they're that brave against Leeds or someone.

Tbh I didn't mind being in the corner but getting into the ground was an arse queuing down that hill. Coaches used to drop us right outside when we had the other side of the stand.

What was the "wooooo" thing about?

Two rows in front of us some blokes tried making their way past some others and just barged past. One of them basically said ‘could you not have just asked for us to move’ which descended into one guy angrily shouting ‘I’ll fucking batter you mate’ to an old man.

So disappointing to see fans of the same team acting like that.

They were taking the piss out of twist and shout. No clue why because we’ve sung it for years and our rendition today was the loudest song sang
