Oxford on a high with 2 wins so far but they were both at home. Scored 4 goals.

If we don’t beat Oxford at home in a night game at the CBS then forget this team has any chance of being a serious promotion contender.

This should be a 3-0 at least.

Robins won’t play 4-4-2 as he will want Rudoni in that team. Suspect it will be:

Dovin
MVE Thomas Binks Bidwell
Torp Eccles
Tatsu Rudoni Wright
Simms

Need to build on the second half of Bristol here and look to control the game but more so be brave in attacking and putting ourselves out there. Would love more of the 4-4-2 but can see us starting in a 4-3-3 so we can control the pace.

2-1 Cov

I agree Robins won’t play 4-4-2 but I think it’s possible for Rudoni to still be in the team as CM next to Eccles in a 4-4-2, okay Rudoni’s not defensively minded but a few people on here have said he’s more of a box-to-box guy rather than a direct O’Hare replacement. Would be a good opportunity to try it out tbf.

I’m not convinced whatever the formations we’ve tried so far are working, it’s a completely different ball game without Sheaf in the team.

Need to be more respectful of Oxford, I think they’ve improved since we spanked them in the cup. Need to be working at full steam to take the 3 points and move on, too much expectation here will ruin the atmosphere
Almost everyone, neutrals, pundits, bookies etc.. will expect us to beat Oxford at home. We should be winning and we have to deal with the pressure of expectation.

According to their forum they havnt sold many tickets. Talking of less than 2k at the moment and no ticket sales on the night.
excuses of Friday night, work, poor transport links etc. pretty disappointing if thats the case from them

They are the smallest club in the division. Fair play to those that make it. It also isn't a 'new' ground for them.

Can’t just turn up and expect a win and this will be difficult however if we turn up and are on it, we win this comfortably.

Agree with this team, but also wouldn't be opposed with putting Kitching back in as well.
Really hoping he kicks on this season and can nail down one of those CB places

Hope we come out and take the game to them rather than the usual first half sitting back passing it between the defence and giving them some easier chances when we inevitably give it away. Sets the mood of the game and can be difficult to get out of.

Dovin
MvE Thomas Binks Bidwell
Eccles Rudoni Torp
Saka Simms Wright

Subs: Wilson, Lati, Dasilva, Kitching, Allen, Palmer, EMC, Tavares, BTA

Considered dropping Thomas for Lati or Kitching

Yes agree, got to boss the game from the start, get the fans on board.

I dont get the not a new ground argument though. I go away to support my club and watch a game of football not to tick a ground off like a trainspotter. I get the excitement of going to a ground that you haven't been to before but to notgo to watch the team I support because Ive all ready been there before just doesn't add up to me

Kitching was really good against Bristol. I'd be tempted to try him & Binks together.
I think it will be Allen, Eccles & Rudoni in the middle.
