I doubt that Kitching and Binks will play together. Not saying it definitely couldn’t work but there’s very few successful pairings of 2 left footed CBs working in the pro-game.

According to their forum they havnt sold many tickets. Talking of less than 2k at the moment and no ticket sales on the night.
excuses of Friday night, work, poor transport links etc. pretty disappointing if thats the case from them
..well I will be driving up from near Oxford. It is a pain in the evenings, you either have to set off way to early or come at the last minute as one way or the other you catch the traffic. And nobody ever said that finding parking online was easy and intuitive for the first time visitor.

...and one for those who have seen both games so far. What is the best central defence combo. Thomas and ?

I see loads of tickets available in the FZ.

Remember the outrage about Doug implementing strict rules?

Unfortunately Thomas has been pretty poor in both games. He is a near mirror image of himself this time last year. Lets hope he can get himself up a couple of notches sharpish.

That's the formation that gets our better players on the pitch together

Need to be more respectful of Oxford, I think they’ve improved since we spanked them in the cup. Need to be working at full steam to take the 3 points and move on, too much expectation here will ruin the atmosphere 👎
They also rested 7 players in the cup whereas we fielded the first team.

Oxford on a high with 2 wins so far but they were both at home. Scored 4 goals.

If we don’t beat Oxford at home in a night game at the CBS then forget this team has any chance of being a serious promotion contender.

This should be a 3-0 at least.

Robins won’t play 4-4-2 as he will want Rudoni in that team. Suspect it will be:

Dovin
MVE Thomas Binks Bidwell
Torp Eccles
Tatsu Rudoni Wright
Simms
Ridiculous post

I expect a cricket score to set the season up. Oxford will be relegated.
Up the old five is very likely for those of you older ones on here.

Highly unlikely, I'd say - considering both club's start to the season.

An early goal may help us, but can see this being a nervy affair in front of an expectant and potentially irritable crowd.

It's a do not lose, rather than a must win, we need to build a long unbeaten run at the CBS, make it a cauldron of noise, and a place sides don't want to visit.
PS Hope we win, before I get jumped on by a pack of 🐺

If Kitching is available I'd bring him in for Binks. Eccles, Torp and Rudoni in midfield.
Saka, Simms and Wright as the forward three.

I wouldn't be against giving BTA a go on the right side of the three instead of Saka

Oxford have won their first two games so will be confident of getting something. Probably shut up shop as they lost 5-2 in the Cup back in Jan at our place .

I think if we are going to go for it...at home against Oxford we should pick an attacking team who are comfortable on the ball and passing/playing out. Not the team I'd always pick, but what I think should be most effective v oxford with personal available.

Dovin
MVE Lati Binks Da Silva
Eccels Torp
Rudoni
Saka Wright
Simms
