I thought so at the time, but VAR disallowing Torp’s winner might well prove to be a history changing event for Man Utd. A man who was otherwise going to be sacked now allowed to build one heck of a side.
I agree, the signings they are making now are slightly less mental (although still huge gambles!). They spent a combined £100M on a crocked Verane and an ancient Cassimero. They were never getting a return on these players and they were never going to get better, the initial outlay was mental!
Ronaldo, for 20mil actually seemed reasonable business on paper. His ego tho at this point was so swollen it could only end one way... And it did.
Apparently Real wanted to pay £20M for Yoro (I think another club were also in for him at that price), Man Utd got him for £50M! They're still bat shit crazy tho at least there could be room for improvement on all their signings. I think they are still years of a title push.
People said the same when they signed casemiro, Ronaldo and varane...
As good as Yoro supposedly is they spent a lot of money for an 18 year old CB who has made 50 appearances, a bid that Real Madrid weren't even willing to get near to.
Same with Zirkzee a lot of money for a bit of a gamble in my eyes. Good player on the face of it, but not sure there is immediate success with ether of those signings so far.
I hope i'm wrong would be good to see them competing again would much prefer united success over city success!
He’s a good player and will do well at Athletico. Suited Potch’s style v well, less so how Enzo wants to play.Conor Gallagher to Atletico a done deal pretty much
I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea but I think that is a really good fit for both parties
Metatarsal mate, not an injury that reoccurs unless people keep standing on your feetjust saw that Yoro is out for 2-3 months already, absolutely laughable, maybe another injury prone defender they’ve signed.
Injury prone refers to a player consistently requiring treatment, not the same injury reoccurring.Metatarsal mate, not an injury that reoccurs unless people keep standing on your feet
£17M in add ons, so something just under £70M for starters.Julian Alvarez going to Atletico for a huge fee, good player but Atletico way overpaid.
Seems like a bargain compared to the amount Man U spent on Anthony and Chelsea on a whole host of players like Fernández, Caicedo and Mudrik. Alvarez is a really good player.£17M in add ons, so something just under £70M for starters.

It’s really good to see English players actually go abroad to play football in major European leagues. We need more of it!

Lisandro Martinez wasn’t injury prone until he went to Man Utd and did his metatarsal, followed by several lengthy spells out. Club has form for badly handling injured players in the last few years.
Didn't really want to start a thread for this , so here is juventus new 3rd shirt , which if I say so is beautifulView attachment 37696
Means they won't need sheafKalvin Phillips to Ipswich
Good move for both! Hope he gets himself back on track as I think he's decent in the right system
The video advert for the United Originals range is really, really good.Adidas have done some really nice third kits this year, especially with the Originals logo and retro badges.
Really don't like Arsenal or Man Utd but these are beauties
