Me too, i think he's our best player, or at least the one with the potential to go the furthest in the game. But i can see why it would be considered.

And this is the problem if we don’t sign a CM, every time Sheaf is out our midfield becomes sketchy at best.

I’m really surprised we haven’t signed someone tbh, we’ve had ample opportunity to sign a bit of quality in midfield, and I don’t buy this argument that there’s “no one out there that fits the bill”, I’m sure there’s a shit ton of midfielders we could sign, from League 1 to the Swiss Super League. There must be some reason for the lack of a CM but as a fan it’s proper frustrating.

I don’t think anybody wants to sell Simms or Wright, but the forward area is clearly our strongest so I think what people are saying is if we had to sell a big name to fund some more business, i.e. in midfield, then you’d more likely choose Simms than say Sheaf or MVE.
