It is more squad size for me, last year the players clearly burnt out.

SInce Hamer left we are now we have lost Hamer, McFadzean, Kelly, O'Hare, Godden, Moore, Binks and now Palmer - so 8 out

and replaced with Torp, EMC, Rudoni, Dovin, BTA, Raphael, Bassette and Binks- so 8 in.

As such we are no stronger than last year, still concerned over no RB cover, now a midfielder short as well, along with the DM and CB many on here have send we need for most of the summer.

We have improved the overall quality of the squad, but are still short on numbers, there is talk of Tavares going and possibly Collins, in effect on our bext XI will not make one iota of a difference, but suddenly 10 out, 8 in, we would be relying on the youngsters to support. I'm not sure Allen is at his best form yet, but would you drop him for Andrews, it is a risk
Respectfully disagree. For a start those bedding in for a third of a season last year are now well honed. If the 8 out at least 3 had 0 impact last year. All 8 in are feasible starters.

Getting the industrial strength bed sheets out because I genuinely think the action or lack of in next few hours will define the season

I’m all for not wasting money but is there really nothing that the recruitment team could have foreseen here … ?

i know we’re fretting over the CM, but Turner seemed more confident in a defender being closer to being done. Any ideas on who that could be?
