Marosi going there on a short term dealI see Plymouth's keeper is out. Wonder if they'll get Brad Collins on emergency loan? Getting him off the wage bill could go towards....well, you know who.

Always felt sorry for marosiMarosi going there on a short term deal
Always felt sorry for marosi
I always thought he was a pretty decent keeper. Looked good against us in the pre season game last season, but not really Championship quality
Why does Wilson get shat on here so often? He is a steady lower end Championship keeper in my eyes. Nothing spectacular but definitely not poor. He got in the team of the year so can't be that bad.No worse than Wilson

Also got to add he is ideal an backup, good character doesn't seem to moan. I'm really happy to have him
I have a feeling we weren't actively trying to offload Wilson. Collins is on more and strikes me as someone who'd be more fucked off being told he's number 2 (or even 3)Amazing that nobody came in for him in the summer then, isn't it?
In this case, I wasn't even slating him, just saying that Marosi was no worse than him.

Marosi was significantly better than Wilson until he got smashed tbf. I'd like to see him do well.Amazing that nobody came in for him in the summer then, isn't it?

“But at this moment in time I don’t believe we are interested in anyone or can do anything. Again, we have got to be careful because there’s only so much you can do in any transfer window and I think we reached that point a while ago, although we were still interested in doing something but it wasn’t to be.
Doesn't make sense, if we were at the limit financially how were we trying to make signings on deadline day?Coventry City boss explains stance on free agents amid Matty James link
Coventry City transfer news from CoventryLive as Mark Robins addresses reports that the Sky Blues have been 'considering' a move for Matty James and explains the club's current stance on signing free agentswww.coventrytelegraph.net
LoansDoesn't really make sense considering Turner was saying we were looking at 2 players on deadline day.

Wilson said himself at the awards dinner he was told to look for another club, didn't he?
As I said in July, there was not much in the way of funds left
I was ridiculed stating this
the extra Vik money helped finance BTA and Norman
loans were an option with a Villa player
He was available all summer, went on strike to force a moveI think people were more baffled by the fact we've got no money after spending another shed load on two strikers.
I wonder if BTA would have come in if Bassette was available earlier?

It doesn't make sense because Robins can hardly say 'yes I really want Matty James but Doug is saying no' can he?
I know and it's a fair point but what he says literally doesn't make sense...It doesn't make sense because Robins can hardly say 'yes I really want Matty James but Doug is saying no' can he?
But criptic in parts this. Robins seems to imply we are at the limit financially at the minute...

I mean what is it? We have reached the limit or you're not interested?
Why? We were looking at a defender and a midfielder. These didn't happen and they were that and we haven't looked at any one else after that.Doesn't really make sense considering Turner was saying we were looking at 2 players on deadline day.
ok mateAs I stated last week, and again people can believe me or not. I've seen texts from those involved
Doug has put the stop on it 100%, Robins and James wanted it.
Of course Robins is going to toe the line in a press conference he isn't stupid
By those involved you mean Robins and King? That’s quite the claim! As I stated last week, and again people can believe me or not. I've seen texts from those involved

I'm not sure what you're saying here? Why? We were looking at a defender and a midfielder. These didn't happen and they were that and we haven't looked at any one else after that.

Robins always manages expectations, always has done and always will do. Personally, I think this is a good thing.Robins does seem to be saying some slightly contradictory stuff the last few weeks. Not sure if he is just trying to manage expectations.
Eg. I think a lot of people knew Palmer was on the way out. Robins seemed to imply this was sprung on the club. Suspect he's just trying to manage PR on this because the club never got a replacement in.
