Allen was getting sloppy long before he gave the ball away for their first goal. Killer ball for the winner, what can you do? The differences for a lot of the game were abundantly clear.

Our Subs Killed our Momentum, no Pace up front.

But the Team Played Well, onwards and upwards. PUSB. 💙

Hold on , we brought on sheaf , Simms and torp .

2 are 1st on the team sheet when everybody is fit ?
Dunno if Simms will be for long looking at Bassette. I say this as a big Simms fan, but Bassette excites me a lot more. Once he gets 1 I can see the flood gates opening.
Seen a lot of comparisons but he reminds me of Vardy more than anyone.

People blaming the subs... I wouldn't have taken Eccles off but the reality is that we were probably going to spend the end of the game sitting on the lead and there were some tired legs out there. It's too easy to pretend other players would have seen us through.

Not sure that Wilson covered himself in glory for either goal in truth, bit he did pull off a couple of cracking saves.

Decent performance regardless, and Bassette looked exceptional.

I know it was forced on us to some degree, but I thought we looked a lot more threatening breaking from deep with pace, than this grindingly slow possession football we seem to get drawn into against 'lesser' teams.
That’s Wilson all over. Great with the reaction save but when someone is running at him he doesn’t know when to come or if he does how far to close the angle.

Our players were excellent - Rudoni, Bassette, Eccles and Wilson chiefly.
Spurs brought Maddison, Son, Spence and Kulusevski off the bench and they made the difference - we just don't play against players of that quality often.
They did to an extent but we gifted them the game with the mistake, don't mind being beaten by a moment of class but it just wasn't the case

We were really good for 90% of that game, against PL opposition. Eccles is really starting to come into his own, this is going to be his season.

Bassett looks like Vik mark 2.0 and I’m very excited by him. EMC just needs one to go in for him and we will see a different player. Wilson had a good game between the stick aswell.

plenty of positives to take from tonight, result is gutting, but I’d take this for 3 points on Saturday

That was the worst performance I’ve seen from Van Ewjick - never got forward and gave the ball away frequently in dangerous positions.

Hindsight is great but if fit is have left Wright on

Didn’t you say it was his worst performance after the Norwich game as well (when he was one of the best players on the pitch)?

Thought everyone was decent. Allen running through treacle at the end and should have came off. Wright was poor first half, but seemed to wake up a bit second half although not much worked out for him today.

Very good performance by us and a tough one to take. Allen just not at the level and gave the ball away many times when his job is to keep it. You can't blame Sheaf, he's comeon after a long lay off. perhaps not thebest of decisions in hingsight, but he needed some minutes.
In a way Robin's got his performance and confidence into the players with Asante and Mason-Clarke looking hungry. He is likely secretly please we are out so he can concentrate on the league and 3 points on Saturday. Robins probably saying brilliant lads in the dressing room.
Binks and Thomas look a good partnership and Bidwell was very good as was Van Ewik.

Subs showed that Robins wasn’t really arsed about winning the game. Basically just took off everyone who is likely to start on Saturday. No way Allen should have played 90 minutes, he was awful second half.
To be fair he was shattered.
