Very good performance by us and a tough one to take. Allen just not at the level and gave the ball away many times when his job is to keep it. You can't blame Sheaf, he's comeon after a long lay off. perhaps not thebest of decisions in hingsight, but he needed some minutes.
In a way Robin's got his performance and confidence into the players with Asante and Mason-Clarke looking hungry. He is likely secretly please we are out so he can concentrate on the league and 3 points on Saturday. Robins probably saying brilliant lads in the dressing room.
Binks and Thomas look a good partnership and Bidwell was very good as was Van Ewik.
Seriously what is peoples problem with Allen, both he and Eccles were excellent tonight.

Really don't get the whinging about tonight, they are a top team and can do that to you. Sure we didn't help ourselves at the end but it was a free hit and we put in the best performance of the season so far.

On another day we would have been 3 up before they scored.

If we play at 70% of that level for the rest of the season we will wipe the floor with most teams.

What was especially positive was that there have been a few where you’d thought “ are they up to it”. In that regard a big big night for Binks, Allen, Rudoni, Thomas-Asante and Bassette.

The way we threw it away was embarrassing.
Their extra quality was the difference.

That first time pass from Maddison was quality, and opened us up.
And for the winner, the run and finish from Johnson, who had fresh legs was top draw.

Compare that to the clear chance that Wright had! That's what your up against when you face a good Premier league team.

Are you serious? He constantly gave the ball away, one which led to the equalizer? He loses his man. He was inefective and a liability which cost us. he needed a game, fine, but should have been substituted early to give Sheaf more minutes.

Our goal was beautiful, Rudoni driving forward and a pin point cross by Norm, Fantastic finish by BTA, really calm and gave the keeper no chance.

we see more of that in the league and we’ll start putting teams to the sword
What impressed me most was how BTA timed his run absolutely perfectly. A lesson in there for Wright and Clarke

We really need to play attacking football for 90 like we used to. And stop trying to sit back and invite pressure.

also still baffles me how bas did not get any minutes the other day yet was ready to come on

disappointed yes, a bit gutted yes, frustrated yes, but if you’re embarrassed by that then you may want to take a look of your expectations against these types of teams.

Expectation at 1-1 to at least get to penalties with a couple of minutes left?
