Officials don't do themselves any favours do they. You can easily argue that's a yellow, but there's no way you could say it meets a 'higher standard' that they've suddenly decided to start telling us exists.

Exactly, I’m happy for kicking the ball away to be a yellow and a second yellow, but not when Sky have spent the last few weeks defending terrible tackles not being second yellows because it didn’t meet a higher standard. If it would get you a first yellow, it should always be enough to get you a second yellow. Don’t know why we needlessly complicate things.

Players have got to be next level stupid if they’re still petulantly kicking balls away right now, especially when you just got a booking 10 minutes prior.

Some very odd refereeing in this game. Think you could make an argument that both Arsenal goals shouldn’t have been allowed. The first one probably doesn’t meet the criteria to be disallowed tbf but seems a bit mad that Oliver called Walker over to him, taking him out of position and then let Arsenal take the free kick quickly.
