It is also worth noting that Adi was only ever here in the first place owing to a freak set of circumstances where MR's original no. 2 had a really serious illness

I don't buy that MR depends on him and has all of a sudden turned into a bad manager overnight now he has gone - He has managed the rest of his career with a different No. 2

Yeah but the rest of his career hasn’t been particularly good.

He took rotherham from -17 points to 58 points , would have finished 5th on 75 points .

Saved Barnsley from relegation

That's pretty good no ?

Rotherham I’ll give you. Barnsley his overall record was pretty poor (lowest win percentage in his managerial career). He’s generally done well in L1 and not so well in the Championship.

Barnsley were a poor side that were way out their depth financially at the time , they finished 17th in 2010-11 under Robins and 21st the 2seasons after he left and relegation the season after that

This would indicate he did a semi decent job there if the 3 managers after did worse

What did you expect Barnsley to do they have mostly yo-yo'd between the Championship and L1 in my time watching football keeping their heads above water was an ok job

He seems to thrive when he's got no money to spend. If he is in control then his signings have been poor last couple of years

Robins isn't identifying the players , he's basically saying yes or no to signing them

The scouts are identifying the players

And they aren't poor players are they ?

The fees being paid , well that's entirely up for scrutiny

Agreed, we’ve been here before and things turned out alright. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee our form will pick up, it’s a cause for optimism that MR will turn it around.

On hand, you’ve got people saying AV leaving is a cause of things going badly, conveniently ignoring our bad form in March/April last season. At the same time, using that set of circumstances (poor end of season form), to support the case for sacking MR.

The team still isn’t good enough, the defence and midfield units just aren’t good enough to compete at the top end of the Championship. Even last season, our form against the top half teams (compared to 22/23) shows this clearly.

We've only won 3 league games since the Wolves ¼ Final. Simply not good enough
Yes I understand that but it was basically accepted amongst many of the fans that we'd blown out last season because of the cup run (not me ) now they are using the end of season as ammunition , it's nonsense really

Not necessarily, we're just not that good and need better players to compete at the top

Our patched up defence plus Ben Wilson got the golden glove in 22/23, which tells me something else is amiss. Midfield, to be specific.

Too weak to protect the defence, too ineffective to drive the team forward. The most important part of the pitch and it’s being carried right now by Josh Eccles.

Except your conviently forgetting that Lawrence had gone for want of a better contract, and you have to a lead in to these appointments, they don't just happen do they?

I love how you're all assuming it was gross misconduct on his part. Bit of a slur. From what I understood and I don't claim to be itk, it was a straight choice between him and Robins and they of course favoured the manager based on the previous. That to me says it's a breakdown in their relationship. I was told the reason for that was Adi's mrs, but don't know how much truth there is in it as often these things get embellished.

Going on about others making slurs and then make one yourself. 😂😂 If it was just a breakdown in their working relationship he’d have left by mutual consent and wouldn’t be communicating via a solicitor.

I was told it was Adi's response to being introduced to the new Performance Director - "no-one is going to tell me what to do".
Bye Adi.

this is just as big a slur as the ones you’re protesting about

The new coaching team is a bag of wank. All of them nobodies and hands in pockets or playing on an iPad. I saw Boateng watching YouTube highlights of Summerville on Saturday before the match, who left Leeds in the summer. Amateur.

We need to fire the performance director, the silly 4 coaches and Vivash back in the building.

Doug is the worst King to grace the club. He’s up there with Marlon. King Out.

I'm not protesting about the slur, only that it was all assumed it was on Adi and not Robins, that's why I said slur. Mine hopefully is balancing that opinion as they mostly seem guesses and I'd heard different. Could be the others, mine or none of them that's correct and I did say often embellished.

Is semi-decent good enough here?
