Those Wright and Simms figs are including all add ons which there’s no way they’ve met. You can take 6m off those.

You don’t think scoring 20 in their first season will have met some of those?

We don’t know how they’re structured really so got to account for them.

Wright - 9m
Simms - 8m
MvE - 3.5
Rudoni - 4
EMC - 4.5
Kitching - 4.5
Thomas - 2
Dovin - 1.2
Saka - 1.2
Torp - 1.5
Bassette - 2.5
BTA - 2.5

I’m sure I’m forgetting a couple.

And we didn’t get £45m for Vik and Gus we got £32m.
All money down until they meet targets I think?

Not quite we've had subsequent payments on Vik (

Well neither of them actually scored 20, so no.

Pretty sure Simms has an intl appearances clause. And I would imagine promotion is in there too. I doubt they’ve triggered any of the extras yet.

The amount spent on league one players is ludicrous

Yeah that’s what really bothers me. The Simms fee pre add ons is fine. Wright I think we overpaid for by a couple of million but he does score goals. The Kitching Rudoni and EMC fees are just ridiculous. Sort of money you’d expect for a young Alli or Maddison spent in some cases on players in their mid twenties who have had half a good season. Utter madness.

I think the only ones missing is BTA & Bassette but we’ve sold Palmer.

Point is we’ve spent well and we’ve spent all the windfall.
No, the point is some fans expect us to be a champions league side because we’ve spent £45M when we haven’t.

Rudoni wasn't a L1 player?

No one expects that you you might be looking up and thinking why Oxford, Derby and Plymouth are ahead of us and Sunderland top. We finished 9th last season and have spent on players in the summer plus EMC so you have to expect an improvement.

It might not be up to date but it gives you the jist

It gives you this gist up to last December.

Since that which shows us £6m up we’ve signed: EMC and Torp for around £6m. Then in the summer Rudoni for £4m, BTA and Bassette for £2.5m each, Binks for a couple of million and Dovin for about £1.2m.

Well over £10m more than we’ve brought in, bringing the total to just under £45m.

So he was a L1 player.
He was a league 1 player in 2022 when Huddersfield signed him, yes.

He was a championship player in 2024 when we signed him, as that's where he'd been playing for the last two seasons.

This really isn't hard to understand.

He was playing for a League One club when we signed him. I’m not sure why that’s hard to understand. He was a Championship player in 23/24 and we signed him in 24/25 when he was at a League One club who had just been relegated.

He wasn't playing for them. He didn't play a game for them in 24/25.

Just let it go mate. He wasn't a league one player. It doesn't fit your agenda. We signed him on the evidence of his performances in the championship, lumping him in with the other league one players we did sign doesn't make sense.

They're not all relevant are they still target's to be met which won't be anytime soon, and it happens the first year in the prem is not going to produce any income from what I can see, must be be the time to sell!

He was signed from a L1 club with L1 finances. He isn’t the first player in history to be relegated, so putting him in the L1 stats isn’t special treatment.

Championship relegation fodder then, really not much difference. They were a league one club which should have reflected in the transfer value.

Liam Kitching played two seasons in the Championship too, but you accept he’s a L1 signing because he came from a L1 club.

Because he was playing in L1 the season before we signed him.

If you're making a point that we should've got Rudoni cheaper because Hudds got relegated, then fair enough that's valid. If you're trying to make a point about us signing players based on L1 performances that obviously isn't valid.
