A lot more community service, re education for crimes like posting stuff on social media. Suspend it so if they do anything like it again they are fucked.
Get people grafting as their punishment for that sort of thing.
Yep kinda similar to me but like I suggested a six month sentence served first, the online stuff get the top one's behind it deffo, I'm talking hate speech etc the real top one's, I'm not talking the councillors wife here I'm talking higher than that!

The low tariff offenders I'd have them out litter picking, clearing canals, cleaning public toilets, painting over grafti, picking fruit or spuds (so that we don't need extra people in the country glad to do jobs that the brits are too lazy to), harvesting crops, filling potholes, washing dishes. It's win win, less prison space, freedom not removed and less immigration required. I'd also make them watch Leicester at the weekend for good measure.
