You can't have slogans like "Dream big, aim high" and have the owner saying "we aim to be in the play offs for 3 of the next 5 seasons" and for fans not to increase expectations.

Nor can you be one of the biggest spenders in the league and not have expectations.

The fans were right to have high expectations. Robins himself would agree that the start of the season has not been acceptable

If we were mid table then I'd think it was hyperbole. But at the start of the season I don't think anyone, fans or club, would think going into game week 10 a point above the relegation zone was likely.

Have the fans really inflated expectation levels?

or have the club through serious investment, three out of 5 and promotional/commercialisation around getting to the premier league

probably a bit of both

I wouldn't argue with that. But I still think the fans have skewed what was said into its happening this season. They have over valued where EMC, Torpe, Kitching and Rodriguez were going to be at and also where Sakamoto was going to be at I after his injury.

The fans want the club to show ambition. We have had two exceptional seasons when the commercial side of the club still had a League Two mentality. King is a business man and was right to seize the opportunity to big us up. Perhaps he got carried away but it was still a five year rolling plan. It was never a promise just let's dream big and enjoy the ride together. People buying into the Premier League package is a gamble, as it is for King.

The thing is you can't show ambition with halfway house statements. The club went all in rightly so because the timing was right.

A bad start doesn't mean the ambition isn't there or was fraudulent. It's just the way football is. Every Championship side is trying to win. They all deserve respect and it is a tough league.

When being ambitious you still need to have a big dose of realism when assessing the route forward, week on week, month on month. It is an ever changing picture.

Some fans are reacting like West Ham and Manchester United fans demanding success. It's like trying to bite that apple in the barrel of water. Sometimes the more you try the further you push it away.

I think most of us would just like the performance levels we’ve had the last seven years. If that makes us Manchester United fans then paint me red and call me our kid.

It’s not the results. It’s the levels of effort.

Because we have not gained promotion yet. Viveash never gave us a good start and League form fell off a cliff last season?

You may as well argue we should have stuck with the same squad and not bought anybody, which would be ludicrous

Any business needs to change and evolve to progress for all sorts of reasons. Take Liverpool and Manchester United in their pomp. Many changes to management, coaching staff and players - for a variety of reasons.

Progress is not an exact science. It is what makes football so fascinating. It is what makes each season unique. Nobody can predict how the table will finish. Nobody can predict the results of a five game run.

We all know you are opposed to the loss of Viveash, but you don't know the circumstances? Neither do I? But it has happened and won't change, so it is pointless to keep bleating on about it. His records with us wasn't perfect after all. Robins obviously felt changes were necessary. My many experiences of radical change in organizations, is it takes time to settle down. Usually about 12 months after some tweaking.

I don’t see what relevance expectation levels have this season, we have started terribly, and whether we’d spent £50m or £50k it’s still terrible.
