I do like Dovin. He is athletic and his handling is good. I do feel concerned though about some of his errors (this one and before Coventry) being perceptual. Our goalkeeper literally dived out of the way of the ball.,....
He’s a good squad player for me same as Allen both shouldn’t be starting in a side that supposed to be improving season on season
Yes, both their wide men had good games. Was it Smith on the other side who whipped in some great balls across the box? I was glad when he went off as DaSilva as usual couldn’t compete.
So you don't think a player can be affected by the loss of a close team member/friend or be distracted by the opportunity/interest from a team playing in the champions league? It's just confidence you clown
Eccles is average, I'm sorry. Every pass he makes is so predictable and telegraphed to the opposition makes it so easy for them to defend against.Eccles and Sheaf used to compliment each other, what’s happened? Does Rudoni have a part to play in this?
It’s plain to see that the weak midfield is effecting all areas of the pitch!
January is going to be big month for our season going forward at the min
If Dovin makes the easy save he should have then the mood on here is way better, may cover the cracks but we’d at least feel better.
Too many of them just not turning up right now for whatever reason.
Will sleep in it before slating them but it isn’t good enough, QPR are a piss poor team
It's just confidence you clown
He's played well of late but tonight he was poor along with plenty of othersEccles is average, I'm sorry. Every pass he makes is so predictable and telegraphed to the opposition makes it so easy for them to defend against.
The biggest thing for me is the way we give the ball away so often, at times we can hardly make 2 passes, our players have such poor ball control it makes you wonder how the hell can some of them be pro footballers when the very basics of being a footballer is controlling the ball, Simms has awful control and he was at a premier league club.
It's been said on here QPR are a very poor team but actually we look even worse at the minute, how have we gone from being a decent team to where we are, we had 2 different outfield players playing from the start than we had last season so they should be capable but are just not showing it.

See Binks…8 games and no clean sheet for Dovin.
An additional two for Sweden under 21s.
QPR were absolute gash. Worst opposition I’ve seen since Maidstone last season.Robins "There not a bad team" .They ARE a bad team.
Mind you there keeper was at fault for our goal, soft shot that he should really have saved . So two goalkeeping mistakes.8 games and no clean sheet for Dovin.
An additional two for Sweden under 21s.
It weirdly has coincided with the team's poor resultsSo you don't think a player can be affected by the loss of a close team member/friend or be distracted by the opportunity/interest from a team playing in the champions league?
I have been saying drop Rudoni back into central midfieldhe’s inconsistent, and more often than not he’s average to poor at the minute - plus him and sheaf together are two of the same, and means little to no creativity going forward, it affects the defence and also up front.
hopefully he’s out for a bit now and we are forced to give Torp a run, and also hopefully Torp will play as a 10 and Rudoni deeper with Sheaf

I can’t remember him playing this poorly even during difficult times before. He’s probably feeling extra pressure as captain and at a loss with so many teammates not pulling their weight. It weirdly has coincided with the team's poor results
Problem being though that Robins will play Torp deep alongside Sheaf as a direct replacement for Eccles, where he (Torp) is least effective. Torp (as you imply) is much better as the more forward option; picking up/going for the second phase ball.he’s inconsistent, and more often than not he’s average to poor at the minute - plus him and sheaf together are two of the same, and means little to no creativity going forward, it affects the defence and also up front.

We should have won tonight against a very poor side.IF we win Saturday we'll be 2 points behind were we should be difference between edge of bottom 3 and midtableWe need to pick up points no matter what , fluke a win against Luton and that's 4 points in the last 2 games .. nowt wrong with that
Sorry Matt I was referring to MR comments about QPR who are a poor team. They’re not actually, it’s just your tactics are bad mark
granted we have issues, but this is a mid table squad at minimum
Is it a case of Eccles being average in a terribly poor midfield? He's played well of late but tonight he was poor along with plenty of others
I personally think Eccles has been one of our most consistent players so far. Today, I think was probably his worst performance. It doesn't speak volumes but so far he is probably our player of season.he’s inconsistent, and more often than not he’s average to poor at the minute - plus him and sheaf together are two of the same, and means little to no creativity going forward, it affects the defence and also up front.

I wonder if it’s a combination of him being an average player, but also physically and mentally drained. Is it a case of Eccles being average in a terribly poor midfield?
He has worked very hard to try and add more to his game, that’s clear from what you see him trying to do each week. I think he’s feeling this bad form more than most and it’s affecting his game.I wonder if it’s a combination of him being an average player, but also physically and mentally drained.
I’m certainly no fan of his, but he has played a lot, and also having come through the academy (I personally hate the ‘Cov Kid’/‘One of our own’ bollox), but maybe the situation the club finds itself hurts him more than it does the vast majority of the other players
I would say so if we got promoted (miles away from that thought) he wouldn't cut it in the prem and we would get pummeled with our poor midfield and defenceIs it a case of Eccles being average in a terribly poor midfield?
His decision making at times is shocking. When he got injured today just roll it to Rudoni. Also in the first half when he tried to curl a very difficult ball to BTA he must have had 10-15 yards in front of him to commit the defender. As others have said he's ok/average and that's about his ceiling.I personally think Eccles has been one of our most consistent players so far. Today, I think was probably his worst performance. It doesn't speak volumes but so far he is probably our player of season.
