If Dovin makes the easy save he should have then the mood on here is way better, may cover the cracks but we’d at least feel better.
Too many of them just not turning up right now for whatever reason.
Will sleep in it before slating them but it isn’t good enough, QPR are a piss poor team

He’s a good squad player for me same as Allen both shouldn’t be starting in a side that supposed to be improving season on season

Eccles and Sheaf used to compliment each other, what’s happened? Does Rudoni have a part to play in this?

It’s plain to see that the weak midfield is effecting all areas of the pitch!

January is going to be big month for our season going forward at the min

Yes, both their wide men had good games. Was it Smith on the other side who whipped in some great balls across the box? I was glad when he went off as DaSilva as usual couldn’t compete.

Dasilva is a technically decent player. Just not sure where he should play because he's not a defender.

Eccles is average, I'm sorry. Every pass he makes is so predictable and telegraphed to the opposition makes it so easy for them to defend against.

not sure I’d 100% agree, we scored then sat back and looked like we’d forgotten how to play football, yes the additional two points would’ve lightened the mood slightly but there’s been little improvement, and the bar this season has been pretty low to start with…

there needs to be a show of passion, aggression, desire - wanting the shirt and wanting to win, and that wasn’t there again tonight, it’s just not good enough

I’m not sure (most) fans want us to play like Brazil, we just want them to look like they care

The biggest thing for me is the way we give the ball away so often, at times we can hardly make 2 passes, our players have such poor ball control it makes you wonder how the hell can some of them be pro footballers when the very basics of being a footballer is controlling the ball, Simms has awful control and he was at a premier league club.
It's been said on here QPR are a very poor team but actually we look even worse at the minute, how have we gone from being a decent team to where we are, we had 2 different outfield players playing from the start than we had last season so they should be capable but are just not showing it.

I think a lot of this is confidence driven! Trying so hard not to make a mistake essentially causes them to make the mistake!

He's played well of late but tonight he was poor along with plenty of others

he’s inconsistent, and more often than not he’s average to poor at the minute - plus him and sheaf together are two of the same, and means little to no creativity going forward, it affects the defence and also up front.

hopefully he’s out for a bit now and we are forced to give Torp a run, and also hopefully Torp will play as a 10 and Rudoni deeper with Sheaf

Robins "There not a bad team" .They ARE a bad team.
QPR were absolute gash. Worst opposition I’ve seen since Maidstone last season.
Once we scored, the next 30 mins was abysmal. A better opposition would have scored 2 or 3 during that period.
2nd half better, but in truth only 2 chances carved out , and we conceded.
Rudoni - anonymous
Lati - So uncomfortable on the ball

I hope Robins doesn’t give up on the 4-3-3 formation,, as we’re not beating Luton playing tonight’s formation again.

I have been saying drop Rudoni back into central midfield

Problem being though that Robins will play Torp deep alongside Sheaf as a direct replacement for Eccles, where he (Torp) is least effective. Torp (as you imply) is much better as the more forward option; picking up/going for the second phase ball.

Certainly agree with you that Rudoni needs to drop deep alongside Sheaf, as it was clear today that there was a gap like the Grand Canyon between the midfielders and attack.

We need to pick up points no matter what , fluke a win against Luton and that's 4 points in the last 2 games .. nowt wrong with that
We should have won tonight against a very poor side.IF we win Saturday we'll be 2 points behind were we should be difference between edge of bottom 3 and midtable
They’re not actually, it’s just your tactics are bad mark

granted we have issues, but this is a mid table squad at minimum
Sorry Matt I was referring to MR comments about QPR who are a poor team.

People seem to forget that in every game there is an opposition. QPR also have higher expectations and are desperate for a win. We did fight and try but so did they. There were periods when both teams had control. It was a draw. It’s ok.

Dovin - extremely inexperienced devoid of confidence, was getting berated by Thomas tonight for not commanding anything
MVE - cannot play in a back 5 without someone like tatsu in front of him, hasn’t beat a man for 6 weeks
Lati / Thomas - look so uncomfortable on the ball and extremely wasteful with possession, Lati especially
JDS - repeatedly exposed
Sheaf - still not up to speed but undoubtedly class
Eccles - bang average footballer 6/10 every week, no more no less
Torp - shows decent moments but wildly inconsistent
Rudi - brought in to be the creative flair but really hasn’t shown it especially of late
Tatsu - kicked to fuck every week and looks like it’s knocked his confidence big time
Haji - hot and cold, one minute looks like a world beater, next minute looks like he’s never played the game
BTA - workhorse but never going to be getting the goals we need to lead our line
Simms - brutally lacking in any confidence, poor touch
Bassette - young and inexperienced, runs in behind are erratic

(I’m not being dramatic though)

I personally think Eccles has been one of our most consistent players so far. Today, I think was probably his worst performance. It doesn't speak volumes but so far he is probably our player of season.

Is it a case of Eccles being average in a terribly poor midfield?
I wonder if it’s a combination of him being an average player, but also physically and mentally drained.

I’m certainly no fan of his, but he has played a lot, and also having come through the academy (I personally hate the ‘Cov Kid’/‘One of our own’ bollox), but maybe the situation the club finds itself hurts him more than it does the vast majority of the other players

He has worked very hard to try and add more to his game, that’s clear from what you see him trying to do each week. I think he’s feeling this bad form more than most and it’s affecting his game.

Just sees so many piss takers around him and probably thinks it’s a waste of effort.

His decision making at times is shocking. When he got injured today just roll it to Rudoni. Also in the first half when he tried to curl a very difficult ball to BTA he must have had 10-15 yards in front of him to commit the defender. As others have said he's ok/average and that's about his ceiling.
