I know somebody who has been through the recruitment process at CCFC in the past two years and he was interviewed by Mark Robins and a now ex-member of staff (Not Adi or Dennis)

Robins is involved with appointing new members of backroom staff unless that has changed in the time he got the job
Robins has said himself he's involved, it gets ignored.

We'd struggle to recruit Ian Beale right now

It all started of so promisingly didn't it? A decent counter attack (that we almost ballsed up!), something you hoped we could have built on but for the rest of the half we were basically dominated in every area of the pitch for the rest of the half. We couldn't get out, nothing stuck up front and at the back and the middle we panicked.

The second half started okay, we kept hold of the ball well enough but didn't threaten before the inevitable equaliser. After this the match descended into chaos, it was like watching a league 2 match at times. I have a certain amount of sympathy for Simms (the Bassett non chance), I don't think the pass was quite so straightforward though he could have done better with the finish.

The ref was a tit, zero consistency and the time added on was a joke.

The people interviewing the new coaches was Robins and Dr Roberts. They were the candidates he wanted.

And did he choose to operate without an assistant?
Because that's been my main beef aboutcthe new set up.
I haven't really got an opinion on the new coaches as of yet.

No idea. But there is a chance we couldn't name an assistant manager for legal reasons because of the circumstances behind how AV was let go.

Did think about that though did also wonder if not replacing could be construed as constructive dismissal in order to remove the role?!

And without Hamer and Gyokeres to provide the quality finishing touches, what is left is what we are seeing now.
Well we lost 2-0 and 3-0 at QPR in the prior seasons to that with both of those players somehow. Perhaps the manager somehow managed to get more out of the team subsequently than he's given credit for?

Where was he? He wasn't even close to our penalty area?

Because Da Silva got turned too easily when not close to his man. Rather than try and recover and go with the player and try and close him down, he ran away from him into no man's land in the penalty area. This meant Binks got dragged out of middle to try and close down the man DaSilva let go. Binks couldn't get across in time so the player still had too much space to put a cross in.

Their goal was down to DaSilva all day long. They were going past him all game like he wasn't there. Defensively DaSilva is atrocious.
