Tbh we took 1800 to QPR tonight and most tickets were near £40 with fees.
When did tickets go on sale? Were we in the rut we are now

Tbf, I’m going Boro but I cannot go back up there and watch us get tonked by those vermin bastards a week later, it would be hell - giving it a wide berth

Rubbish. I don’t think a single person expected a magically good performance tonight, and if they did then they are clueless as to the situation we’re in.

that’s exactly what you believe though

you think that even though Robins has shown a lack of tactical nouse and has been unable to get these players motivated, scoring and winning football matches all of a sudden he will flick a switch and it will all change because he’s done it before

I can’t blame people in that category though, because the alternative is accepting relegation.

If you can find where I’ve said that you’ll be doing well. I have never said he’ll “flick a switch and it will all change”, because I don’t believe it. Again, stop making things up.

How will it get better then?

You seriously believe a 1-1 draw at bottom of the league is anything to build on?

The players look like they have no idea what they’re supposed to be doing. We don’t even have the basics of a coherent tactical approach.

I don’t understand why all common sense has gone out of the window. Just because they’re bottom of the league, were you expecting us to rock up and hammer them? Were you assuming that it would be easy? Where have you been since the start of the season?

There were periods tonight where we were better. After scoring early which was just what we needed we got all passive and sat back for near 30 minutes. I don't think Robin's was pleased with that. Second half we were improved and I trhought we would find a second goal to wrap things up. But Dovin decided to dive into thin air for some reason? Wilson taps that over the bar all day long. From there we fail to improve and actually looked leggy. Are they traing too hard?
Individually Rudoni was a bystander and does not get involved in the game. Wright played out of position and never got fed the ball enough. Asante seems to work hard but the end result is not there. Then we have the midfield. Still wide open. Eccles is just not the level best we need from him. Sheaf getting better but tired. Torp has a lot to give if played more forward. Bidwell is better at left back all day long. Tats needs to start. Lati I'm not sure what he should be doing. CB are fine we just need the middle of the park to use the ball well and win the ball back more. Rudoni was a good corner taker but why did he not take them all tonight? Eccles delivery is ponderous. We have to look at indivdual performances to understand what is going on. And while we overall improved tonight, plenty of players looked like they were strugling with what their instructions were. Once again this blame is at the feet of the coaching teams ability being highlighted again. Those are the critiques from the game for me but like I said overall we did look better for good spells of the game.

haha here we go, the predictable accusations of lying and making things up

you have said that people who think Robins should go have no argument and yet your argument for Robins staying is that he deserves it as he’s done it before and will do it again

or am I wrong, in which case share why you believe Robins is the right man and will turn this around this time

You’re backtracking already. Find me where I’ve said- or indeed even implied- that Robins will just “flick a switch” and everything will be ok.

what I have said is that there are multiple things at play, including some things that are on Robins, but he should stay as I believe he can turn it around. No switches mentioned, so yeah- stop making things up.

and do you not understand by that point we’d be fucked if he’s still here and we’re in the same position / situation? who is going to have even half a chance with no time before the January window? we may as well say it’s shit or bust this season with Robins in that case…

I understand everything and I have my view, just as you have yours which is just as valid. But stop putting words in peoples’ mouths.

I try not to focus to much on recruitment, I think we got dealt a shit hand on some things (The Stamenic deal for example) and it’s a case of we’ve got the players we’ve got it’s kind of a tough shit thing we’ve got to deal with it and get behind them

But letting Kasey Palmer go on deadline day was fucking negligent, even if he wanted out he should have been told no, or at minimum been told you are here till January and then we can asses the situation

where? I haven’t even suggested here that anybody had said anything…. you are very weird.

Oh and in answer to your previous post, I can’t be bothered to go through every message of yours but here is just a smattering of where you clearly suggest, in black and white that Robins deserves to stay because he’s got ‘a track record’ of turning things around - so basically he’s done it before so he’ll do it again - in other words, at some point something will change and our season will go from bad to good…..

and before you try and get clever, that is basically suggesting at some point he’ll flick a switch and something will click and change - you know exactly what I meant

yep, all kinds of switches being flicked & sudden turnarounds there, huh? 🤡

I do think Robins can turn it around, that’s true, as I say there. Nowhere have I said it’s gonna be like flicking a switch, that’s you exaggerating and distorting once again.

you’ve your view, I’ve mine- I don’t see the point in all the exaggeration that’s all.

Where are you getting your optimism from? What have you seen to date to make you believe he can turn it around when performances and his demeanour suggest the opposite?

Jesus, you are so predictable, and completely insufferable…

your opinion is your opinion, to which you are entitled, but own something when you say it - you know exactly what I meant and yet you’re trying to focus pedantically on a couple of words, when in reality they are actually true because he’s going to have to change something drastically to turn it round, from losing to winning, and relegation contenders to pushing for promotion isn’t going to be a minor thing is it…there’s no exaggeration, unless of course you’re suggesting that ‘turning it round’ means not being relegated this season, in which case fair enough but that’s not really a strong argument for keeping Robins in post….

Anyway I’ve had enough of you for tonight so I’m off to bed

I wouldn’t call it optimism- I just don’t see that sacking him now makes sense. I understand the opposing view, but for me I think he can turn it around.

I get that but based on what?
I’ve been to most games this season and we are where we deserve to be. I fear we will be in this position for the foreseeable future

I bid you good night, and don’t be telling me what I’m thinking in the midst of the mad pile on.

He can turn it around and there is no instant fix, it’ll take some time which I think he should have. That’s my view- I hope that’s clear enough.

We are where we deserve to be, no doubt of that. A big part of it is that I think at some stage someone will convert some chances, thats one part of it. Simms for example is being called all sorts of names and although I hate that stuff, it’s justified. He had that chance tonight and even looking at the xg table tells you that putting away some chances changes things.

I agree on the style of football- if this is the way then chances need to be taken, and they’re not. I also don’t think (hope) that bad errors like tonight will keep happening. And on top of that I do have the belief that Robins knows what needs doing. Whether King lets him is another matter.

So- no quick fixes on the horizon but I’m definitely in the ‘Robins to stay’ side of things. I get the opposing view if not some of the wild exaggerations, and if this is the end then it’s obvious why. I think he turns it around though.

It's always hard to perform to the level you can when you're in a rut and playing nervous . People are putting way too much emphasis on performance when at the moment we just need points , once we start picking up points the players will naturally grow in confidence
We can't be having any of that sensible talk round these parts, Evo.

How long have we all been watching football? A team low on confidence so often look incredibly poor and it can happen in individual games too.

How often do you see a team say 2-0 down and playing really badly and then suddenly, out of the blue they pull a goal back and then really look decent as they push for an equaliser?

Happens all the time.

We look poor because the confidence is low. I think we just need to scrape that win to set ourselves back on track.

Should have happened after Blackburn, but didn't, but we do have the players to turn this around.

Seems some opinions have gone from…..Its early days yet……to …..we shall be lucky to finish mid table. What an absolute cluster fuck if thats all we can hope for after all the hype and money spent.
I’m afraid Doug King had his head turned by the money to be made on Gyokeres and Hamer and thought buying a collection of ‘promising ‘ individuals would soon turn a handsome profit.
Problem is Doug….. for them to excel they have to be part of a well oiled team, playing regularly and in their preferred positions.

no it’s not, one alternative is getting it right over time

However, I know this is now just a huge pile on and that will be scoffed at.
I file this under ‘he will turn it around’. He doesn’t look like he can and has already resorted to frantically changing shape, changing goalkeeper etc in the hope of something sticking.

I don’t know how it happened but we look like a terrible side. So do QPR, but everyone else in the mire is showing signs of life. We aren’t.
