Yes, many of us expressed concerns though there were people who thought we'd be OK. Can't remember which posters now.
David O’Day and a few others pounced all over me when I said on the transfer thread that I was concerned. Said I was bedwetting and being ‘performative’

I know it’s mentioned time and time again on here, but I would very much take it with a pinch of salt. I very much doubt a guy that knows nothing about football is dictating the transfers. What I do believe has happened, is DK has provided the funds, a lot of funds, and trusted them to spend wisely, which they haven’t.
Of course he effectively gets to dictate transfers. He controls the money. If there is a player he doesn't want to sign he doesn't sign the papers and it's dead.

These polls are fucking embarrassing.
A thread to discuss the managers position would suffice, no need for a dozen and a poll every few days.

It’s clearly not every few days, I’ve posted two polls (about a week or two apart) around 3-4 weeks ago and then Cam posted this one for the QPR game. You don’t have to take part, it’s just info for those that wish to know what the fanbase is currently thinking, not sure why you’re finding a poll so offensive.

I genuinely think if Doug hadn't interfered in the playing side and got greedy then we wouldn't be where we are in the table.

Leave the football side to football people and the business side to business people.
Exactly my thinking, we all all appreciate Doug coming and buying the club from the last shower, but for gods sake man leave the on field affairs to the very man who has done more for our club, in his latest tenure, than anyone in the previous 5 decades, ‘87 aside of course. The loss of his trusted backroom staff is massive (Doug’s vision, new model? ) and there for all to see, he hasn’t become a s**t manager overnight, give him the bloody support he deserves.

As previously stated elsewhere in another thread, in 7 years since rejoining the club our record reads: a downward trajectory to an upward trajectory, League 2 oblivion to a penalty kick away from the Premier League, managed the club at Wembley on 4 occasions and a toe nail away from an FA Cup Final and a 5th appearance at Wembley, have we ever had it so good?

We’re now calling for his head and suggesting he doesn’t know what he’s doing after just 11 games (yes admittedly a poor start) into the new season with all the backroom upheaval, to contend with and adjust to, is just embarrassing. We’ll be fine, this League is full of decent teams and extremely difficult to get out of, some need to drop the entitled attitude.

On the poor start I’m not having the “this poor form started after Leeds last season” argument, we nearly got promoted to the Premier League the season before, let’s just deal with the hear and now and not just choose certain dates to suit an agenda.

Let’s remember and understand the meaning of the words we sing each week eh……. PUSB

You can respond to my posts I won't bite. Loads on here suggested if 'the right' player wasn't available then its best to do nothing. Personally I felt we were so short we should have been looking at our 10th choice if that's all that was available.

Regardless, as I keep saying, the position we are in is completely unacceptable.
Wasn't trying to make you bite. It was a genuine question.

I was just surprised that some people were saying that.

I didn't say its offensive.
I said it's embarrassing. And you not understanding why doesn't surprise me in the least.

Feck it. He’s more too cents. If anyone at rhe club reads this shithole please pass this on 🤣

Doug, you have to make a choice now, you can’t stay on the fence. Either sack him and bring someone in or Get him the assistant it sounds he wanted Chris Ramsey or someone else and bring in the experienced player he wanted (Matty James).

The inaction is killing us and making the situation ten times worse.
If you think Matty James is the answer then we are fucked.

Not about Matty James or any player, it’s more saying the owner can’t sit on the fence anymore.

We heard about the assistant being a case of Doug saying it’s not the right time after Mark met him.

If Doug wants to keep robins, all I’m saying is support him. If he doesn’t believe in him or think he’s the right man just let him go

A fanbase giving their opinion of the manager in numerical form on a forum designed specifically for fans is embarrassing? You have a very petty notion of what embarrassing means 😂

At least me and @skybluecam are bothering to put the time in to ask the forum what they think of Robins, and I’m not saying it’s a “heroic” deed or anything, but at least it’s contributing to the in-depth discussion of Robins’ tenure. For example, the Not The Top 20 podcast even used one of the polls in their analysis of Cov the other week. It’s just interesting for football fans to know what’s going on with our club and for our own fans to know what other fans are thinking. The fact you’re getting wound up over it all is the embarrassing factor in all of this.

Alexa, show me a post from a football forum where a poster who's full of their own importance blows smoke up their own arse.

There’s literally zero smoke being blown in any direction 😂 I just find it odd that out of all of the fans on here you’re the one that seems to take offensive to anything I say and complains about almost anything, whilst adding zero positive contributions yourself, it’s just a bit weird tbh 😂

As I said, the polls are more useful to me because thread discussion is easily dominated by a handful of users and not always representative of the general view.

Maybe it is embarrassing. But the position we’re in as a club is pretty embarrassing right now.

Mate, I'm not offended.
Do I think you're a clown- yes.
Do I think you talk bollocks - yes.
Do I think you're full of your own self importance - yes.

Am I offended, absolutely not.
Do I give a single fuck what you think about me - absolutely not.
Hope that clears that up.

We've got numerous polls and threads about a man who is one of our greatest managers, it's an absolute pile on and nothing anyone says to me will alter my opinion about that.

At least next time the good times are rolling and our supporters start going on about how great they are there will be a wealth of evidence to the contrary.

It is a total pile on and it’s also very disappointing to see, after so many of our fans sneered at other clubs who hound the manager like this.

We’re in a shit position, but how is it ‘embarrassing?’

I was singing Robins’ name on Tuesday. I’ll always support him and the team at games. That’s an entirely different thing to expressing my opinion on whether he’s the right man for the job now.

Top 6 most expensive squad in the league

Flogging “Premier League Packages” to our fans

Using the “UP” slogan for our marketing

King saying 3/5 years in the playoffs

Robins saying we’ll give it a real go this season

Pundits/blogs/bookies etc having us firmly in the playoff picture

All that and we’re currently 22nd, that is pretty embarrassing.

I appreciate most still back him and games. It's not the questioning of him, it's just the manner of it.
Thread after thread. Bit out of order in my opinion considering what he's done for club.

I agree there are too many but I prefer polls to one user deciding their opinion is the final verdict and posting a new thread with an essay on the subject.

You implied it was distasteful to do so if it involves fans criticising Robins. On that basis yes you did suggest it was premature to do so.

lol, no he didn’t 😁

I assume- and I may be wrong- he is saying that large chunks of the crap being spouted is not ‘debate’, it’s a pile on.

Sometimes people divorce someone they still love because it just isn't working any more. It feels like we're in that rocky stage where we're trying to rekindle the spark and keep the relationship alive, but we've also got one eye on the hot, exotic new girl / guy at work.

If you think that you've misunderstood my point.
Or maybe I didn't make myself clear.

Ok. It appears I have.

so what is your point ?

That it's an absolute pile on, with thread after thread, (including one on who the new manager should be), and numerous polls.
I find it disrespectful given what the man has done for us.

I disagree with skybluecam but at least he's seems to have grasped my point and I respect his.
