The thing is, Robins may well know his best 11. It's really not quite as simple as he doesn't know, because he keeps changing the personnel.

I am guessing Robins acts in the same manner that so many managers act.

Let's say he has Wright as one of his first names on the team sheet. Well, if Wright isn't showing well in training, or pulling his weight, he is more than likely not to be picked.

Happens in football every week, up and down the country.

I think Robins HAS got an idea who his first team 11 are, but the players have to show they are sharp and motivated and ready and busting a gut in training, in order to be picked.

Wright has looked a little disinterested at times hasn't he. That's more than likely the reason why he's in and out of the side.

Not saying that works for everyone, because I too am a bit puzzled on the Dovin/Wilson situation. Don't quite know what MR's notion is on that one, but keepers are a different breed anyway. They don't have to have bags of stamina and energy to be able to run around for 90 mins.

But anyway, if a player doesn't look sharp and ready in training, the likelihood is they may well find themselves on the bench.

Does not surprise me at all why there are often changes. It doesn't mean the manager doesn't have his ideal first team 11 in his mind.

I know it’s mentioned time and time again on here, but I would very much take it with a pinch of salt. I very much doubt a guy that knows nothing about football is dictating the transfers. What I do believe has happened, is DK has provided the funds, a lot of funds, and trusted them to spend wisely, which they haven’t.

And we'll know in January either way because he'll either make amends or carry on with the policy.

We've clearly pursued a certain recruitment strategy and its bit us on the arse.
Not sure why you can't admit that.

Of course there are other factors but, and I'm getting sick of saying it, 3 cornerstones of Robins success, experience, an assistant, utilising loans.

You can respond to my posts I won't bite. Loads on here suggested if 'the right' player wasn't available then its best to do nothing. Personally I felt we were so short we should have been looking at our 10th choice if that's all that was available.

Regardless, as I keep saying, the position we are in is completely unacceptable.

You can't guarantee anything in football can you? At some point you have to go with gut feeling, and my feeling is Robins is getting us relegated. I'm not Doug King so what I think isn't important anyway.

As for candidates, we have no idea who's available, I don't scout the foreign manager market. That's up to the owner to figure out. Obviously I'd like the next Guardiola but as I think we're on course to go down, someone who could get us to lower mid-table would suffice. Should be doable imo.

Tbh Clint mate, I hope you're right and Robins turns it around, I always hoped he'd lead us to the Prem. I'm giving my opinion on what I'm seeing and to me he looks done this season, as I've said before he's throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks. I'm not convinced it will.
