What I’m saying is I suspect it’s intentional to stop every but the most determined making an appointment because they know they can’t cope with demand.
It would be simple to have a better system you are right.
It only benefits people who can sit on the phone every morning at 8am. More than likely the old people who go in for a chat and those who don't work.
If I could book for next Tuesday at 4pm for example then it would be one less phone call at 8am for people who need to get in the same day.
It's no wonder people rock up to a and e. Even tried the NHS website for the GP surgery where you can put in details for the doctor to call you back.
"Call us at 8am" was the response so for somebody who works and does the school run it's not really ideal.
Last time I needed to see a doctor I tried 3 times to get an appt and couldn't get one. Ended up paying to go private instead.
Gp surgeries aren't fit for purpose.
