Robins on cwr (6 Viewers)

Scary and in my opinion how he’s put that on the players is a shambles.

They were targeting our pace in centre backs by doubling up and due to how high our wingbacks were they just moved past them.

There lack of press in CM meant the space created by binks and the underlay had nowhere to go. When we woke up and changed it to a 4-3-3 we solved a lost of issues but Jesus when fans are calling for it how the fuck does the coaching staff not react.
How can the players universally get 5s yet not be allowed to be blamed

Meant more for the tactical shape and going on about being too narrow.

Shocking performances there today but it’s not just the players. It came across like we did no research on them or how to play around them and just assumed were would win.

Did our coaching staff do any homework on Derby , as Robin’s seemed to know how they would play , but did nobody pass on the important information to our players , as we were shambolic ?
This is a very pertinent point, the coaches must have known that Derby would sit deep and park the bus - stifling any attacks.

Even so, why persist with a formation and tactics that are clearly not working, for over an hour?! The obdurate way that MR sets out tactically is almost superstitious, or he’s genuinely afraid to change it up in case something goes wrong.

Game management needs to improve dramatically, however I can’t see it happening.

I’m genuinely fuming over that performance; MR needs to give our ‘star players’ a reality check, not the blanket and safe space that’s probably being doled out.

Not robins fault for an horrendous back pass and a maybe offside deflected goal. Ffs lads. Without those two basic goals we win the game even being shit.

Robins just sounded as frustrated as all us on here. He changed personal and formation as well. What more can he do. Sometimes the players have to look in the mirror and say how shit we were. Derby were fucking awful. As were Sheffield Wednesday who I thought were utter shit. We found a way to lose both games. Worrying

He could have changed it a lot sooner. It was clearly not working early on

He has to be brave enough to change it sooner it’s as simple as that. As good as he’s been for us, that’s always been his downfall. It wasn’t working, so react quickly.

Could have changed it first half without making subs and gone 4-3-3.

Yeah it's weird.

He said the other week in an interview he had to wait for the players to get in at half time to speak to them.

Why?
Because the technical area is a graveyard, nothing happens in it compared to the opposition

Robins going on about how he was annoyed the lads didn’t know to change shape and find space. Your the coach, get Dovin to fake a injury and get them to change shape

Anyone see their physios dropping energy drinks/sachets like some sort of FIFA cheat code?

He changed it on the hour. We were horrendous before that, against one of the worst teams I’ve seen at the CBS for a long time. He absolutely had to change it on 30 mins. 1-0 down at home and creating absolutely nothing.
We had plenty options on the bench to mix things up (Dasilva, Torp, Kitching, Mason-Clark)
Give Tavares 15 mins at the end FFS. His pace down the middle could have been useful,.
Dasilva should have started. Rudoni slotted in well at LWB for 45 mins, but he’s not a LWB, and Dasilva had to start tonight.

Playing Tatsu as a number 10 is MR’s fault. He looked lost.
Players not being able to pass to a team mate is down to the players.
If players cannot do the basics then shape and tactics are irrelevant.

I do always find it interesting that moving a player a few yards from one "position" to another "position" makes a player forget how to be a professional footballer.

I definitely think having so many kids on the bench, was a factor in Robins' thinking. It wasn't a strong bench tonight

Exactly why we needed to win with the first 11 from the start, then proceeded to do Wile E. Coyote standing on a cliff edge shit.

That was just strange playing him there, not once have I watched him play and thought he would fit in for the 10 position?!
