We weren't going down , we had the opportunity to balance the squad in January and address the fact we had no leaders or experience in the team.

The squad will still be getting players in the door from the same people

Bloomfield who has taken 100 games to get Wycombe playing decent stuff and did shit at Colchester? Great
Matt Bloomfield 😂😂

what a shit appointment he’d be

has a club ever announced a sacked is leaving before a match?

could backfire immensely, Sunderland could’ve been a bloodbath if we went up there with a dead man walking in charge
You don’t make anything public, you just give him that game as a way to do all of the above.

Like was King just waiting for the next defeat to sack him? That’s no way to run a club. If one result is what you’re waiting for, you clearly already made your mind up.

To be fair , I get the feeling king was hoping he could do this to finally fully restructure the club in his image , he had to wait because he felt the fans might stay onside .. oh boy

You started the day by predicting us as relegation candidates - that kind of post never helps the cause of the manager. So those words feel kind of hollow.
I think we’re in a relegation battle, that’s quite separate to what I think about the manager and his record. Direct your comments to those who have wanted him sacked for weeks, I did not.

When you think about it, they've been probably waiting to do this since Luton. If that last minute winner hadn't have gone in, it would have been then. If we didn't win at Boro, it would have been then. Wasn't made off the back of last night I'm sure.

How many games do you and your band of merry sack merchants give the new manager considering he won't have anything in the bank ?

4 games?

It is odd timing, being that we’d won two on the bounce, and seemed to have improved until last night. I think it was decided when Adi left personally, and that King was just waiting on an excuse, had a time in mind of when he would get rid of Mark

Realistically how would you do it differently?

He’s been sacked, you can hardly announce it before a game.
Dress it up as leaving by mutual consent, convey to him before last night’s game that it might be a curtain call, give him the opportunity to issue his own statement….all sentimental bullshit at the end of the day, and who knows if MR even wanted it that way. But if anyone deserved it…

I don't think his brother will post anything about rockets today on twitter without being mauled
If he posts about Doug then it still counts

He might not have, but given his contribution here you give him the choice.

We’ll never know the full story but there’s more to this, as there was with vivash. Robins deserved to be given the chance to turn things around but there’s been some weird selections, tactics, performances this season. As has been mentioned before we’ve recruited for one formation and ended up with another two seasons on the bounce

Thinking back to robins interview last night he sounded a bit resigned to the situation when he shouldve been fuming. After 7 years managing an absolute shitshow of a club a majority of it, maybe he was just done with it 🤷‍♂️

We need to see a reaction from the players as some of their performances have lead to this, including last nights lethargic, can’t be arsed efforts.

On reflection our best recruitments in the Robins era were the two either side of promotion from L1: Before: McFadz, Allen, Godden plus O'Hare and Walsh on loan. After: Hamer, Sheaf on loan and O'Hare purchased. Who was in charge of recruitment then?

The players coming in now will still be from the same recruitment team too even under a new sorry head coach

It’s worth remembering King gave Robins and Vivesh new contracts so can we dispense with the idea he’s been itching to change everything and get rid since he arrived.

Something has obviously completely changed his thinking.

As Brutal as Fuck!!

The question for me is has this been coming for a while or was it a knee jerk reaction to last night?

Robins has sounded pretty down in interviews recently and quite passive, was Doug thinking that that is reflected in our performances?

Or was there a meeting after last night's game to thrash things out and it all got a bit heated which ended up with Doug shooting from the hip? He seems the type to want to win every debate and would sack someone on the spot.

Agreed, all the 'hard decision' stuff is crass and completely insincere. Wankers.

Well if he employs bloomfield , I'd question his thinking full stop

Robins hasn’t been right all season.
