Maybe he’s not applied for anything, feels it’s the right time to get back in, he’d do for me,Why hasn’t any team appointed him in the last 18 months?

I’m sure he’s been turning down jobs to wait for the Coventry City one you’re rightWhy did no club appoint Robins for 14 months? Sometimes managers turn down jobs or don’t get the offers.
Doesn’t mean that they can’t be successful
Eccles might learn to shoot
Must of missed the first point there on Robins or the second one on not getting the offers.I’m sure he’s been turning down jobs to wait for the Coventry City one you’re right
Well no I wouldn’t complain if we had pep. Why’s it childish if I don’t like a manager? So childish. If it's not robins it's pure crap clearly. Could have pep lined up and you would complain let's be honest.
Robins has gone kiddos. You gotta move on
Who?Derby played some lovely football under Lampard. Guess who his record signing was then?
Be careful the lampard mafia will be on youOh Doug can fuck off if it’s Lampard.
Be careful the lampard mafia will be on you
Josh would look dashing in a deerstalkerYou think Lamps is going to have him out on the country estate with a shotgun?
6 wins in the league before the end of october and 3 wins in the same period, they then had 1 more league win and 1 more euro in that calendar year. They won 10 of their 27 games before came in as caretaker, then won just 1 in 11.
You do realise our name will become Frank Lampard's Coventry City?Frank lampard. One of the biggest names in English football.
We're in the big time now baby!
Superrrrr super frank supporter super frank superrrrr super frank super Franky lampard!
Waghorn?Who?
Only took 33 pages to answer your own questionOh Doug can fuck off if it’s Lampard.
probably why he is favourite with the bookiesGlad I backed him at 7/1 yesterday.
probably why he is favourite with the bookies
I've seen people mention the good job at Derby, but he got loaned a load of very good players by Chelsea that were way better than most teams in the league. And they didn't go up. And as Doug doesn't seem to want loanees that kind of puts paid to that connection.Lampard isn’t my first choice but 2bh he did a good job at Derby and he managed Chelsea through their transfer embargo. Brought through Mount and Reece James - I think Conor Gallagher come through him.
Everton are a basket case and he kept them up there.
reputation wise - he’d command the respect of the players instantly.
Sure I remember looking and here on the Sunday night to find out Robins had just rejoined, felt slightly upbeat although knew we were going to still get relegatedYeah - bizarre weekend that was, Slade was sacked Sunday afternoon and I’m sure we announced Robins later on that night
You do realise our name will become Frank Lampard's Coventry City?
And that can fuck right off.
That sounds really great though doesn't it, we've gone from a really successful, good manager, who won things here, to the best of a really bad bunch.you know what
i’d take lampard
he’s no robins and i am still FUMING
BUT
he’d have good connections
likely have the respect of the players
he’s the best of a really bad bunch
No, I don't get it.seen Some strange comments about if it is lampard that’s not a bad CV is it ?
managed Chelsea youth team
got derby to a play off final
got Chelsea to an FA cup final and finished 4th in the premier league
kept Everton up
likes to bring academy players through
id Be happy with any manager with that record, he’s done it at the top level
Jody Morris has followed him everywhere, as has Joe Edwards who had a brief stint managing Millwall last seasonNo, I don't get it.
Surely if you are looking for a coach to fit into the club structure, who has to work with the team already in place, you wouldn't want to bring in a high- profile name who would want to bring his own staff with him.
To my mind, it needs to be a lesser-known figure and someone on the up, who is happy to work under the set conditions.
Surely Lampard would want his own backroom staff wouldn't he?
Yup, exactly. Totally agree. Would seem to be at odds with what King is looking for.Jody Morris has followed him everywhere, as has Joe Edwards who had a brief stint managing Millwall last season
Can see those coming in being a pretty non-negotiable on his part
If what was posted by someone else on here about King wanting a new manager to work with what is already here then I just can't see it being Lampard
That being said, you just don't randomly shorten from 4/1 to 5/6 during the night without there being some legs to the rumourYup, exactly. Totally agree. Would seem to be at odds with what King is looking for.
Agree on the bringing his own staff with him, if It is lampard I’m sure he’ll have some of his own terms if he gets the job, whoever Doug chooses it’s a gamble, if your a manager out of a job in November it’s for a good reason, sounds like your right, we went for the wycombe manager but he’s staying,No, I don't get it.

I would be much happier, whoever it was, if the new bloke brought in his own team, who he knew and trusted. That being said, you just don't randomly shorten from 4/1 to 5/6 during the night without there being some legs to the rumour
Maybe the owner has seen the backlash and knows that he has to get this right, so is perhaps willing to back down ever so slightly on his terms and afford Lampard what he wants
Called it the other day; based on the statement the other day he’s exactly the sort of appointment King will want.I reckon it'll be Lampard.
