This isn't putting boxes prices up beyond what you initially said or upping kids prices is it?

We don’t know what’s happened, probably never will, but you can’t say he didnt back him, if we hadn’t lost to sheff weds Swansea Norwich and derby he’d still be in a job, he’s done it purely on results, we’ve not been good enough, robins even said himself After derby it was on him,he changed the team that won the last 2 games ?

I have concerns but he’s more appealing than some of the other names mentioned and should (if he’s allowed), bring in some decent loans.

He needs to be given a chance rather than being written off from the start though.

Robins had us playing some excellent football in the Championship. I think the alleged recent events in his life took a toll. In the future and I think with hindsight, he’ll himself likely admit that himself.

He's had his coaching staff removed and the demographic of the squad changed on him.

Reason being is if robins didn’t want the coaching team around him that was brought in post adi viveash, but then allows the new manager to bring his own people in, then that is yet another massive slap in the face to robins. (Obviously all very speculative as that assumes robins didn’t select these coaches)

interestingly, I’d say Lampard comes in and wants JT and Jody Morris for example, then JT has already worked with John Dempster at Villa and got a good relationship. Again all very speculative thought based on assumptions only)

But he lost Lawrence, not replaced, lost Viveash, not replaced, lost the experienced players, not replaced, denied access to the loan market.

All things that had helped bring success.

Vik and hamer were Undroppable, we had a poor squad, he’s got plsyers this season on the bench who maybe think they’re better than what they are, it’s the first time he’s had that problem, looks like he’s struggled to do it ?

I’d imagine Robins was involved to an extent with the new coaching team and involved in the interview process. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that some of them will go already to accommodate the new manager.

dont think it’s undermining robins, im Pretty certain king thought it would just be a smooth transition, replace Lawrence and viveash and somehow robins would just carry on doing what he does, and I’m certain with a couple of more wins we’d be around top 6 and robins would still be here, like I’ve said before king with either turn out to be a genius with what he’s trying to do or absolutely clueless, it’s a bit early to judge

So gutted to see MR go I don’t think I’d be jumping for joy with any new head coach.

Of the names mentioned Bloomfield, Sheehan, Carsley e.t.c Lampards CV is the most experienced so could understand it.

He always comes off as fairly articulate and tbf I could see the players respecting him if he came in.

I was worried we’d struggle to recruit in January given where we are but a name like Lampard may help us get some signings over the line.

What process? It’s about as real as ‘the model’.

An alternative perspective:

This is a great outcome for Mark. He leaves still a hero, the victim. He leaves with the crowd with him not against him. He leaves without it going horribly sour in the way most managers leave. He leaves with 2 years money and a great reputation in the EFL. Just like Eric Black he will forever be remembered as a manager with very few negative memories.

IF and it’s a big IF we find a manager that gets us promoted and we kick on again as a club then we as fans win too. If we get promoted and King sells the club to a much wealthier owner who keeps us as a Premier league club we win again.

Elite sport is about fine margins ….. remember that play off final. We didn’t turn up for 60 mins under Robins, the same in the Semi Final. They are two of my personal favourite recent moments with City but even during them they felt like they were turning sour for a long period.

I will be forever grateful to Mark, i have nothing but positive memories of him, but i‘M a Coventry City fan. The club will always come before any individual for me. Always has.
