Doug King - calling it as it should be. (4 Viewers)

I agree. The same when Marlon King came here.

But some fans do quit going if they are unhappy with a club.

Always happened. I think Blackpool was particularly nasty at one point wasn't it?

The Oyston's?

Blackpool was a unique situation for many reasons. It’s never happening here. It’s laughable as pro there seems some Stockholm syndrome and we want Sisu back with cuddly Dave Boddy and lovely Joy and a pile of debt and nowhere to play every few years

Well it's never going to be nice but there's ways of going about it with a bit of humanity.
It sounds like King has treated Robins badly, through this, and through his bereavement.

I hoped as a club we were a bit better than that.
Do you honestly believe Robins wasn’t given the opportunity for compassionate leave?

I think when Jimmy Hill resigned it was probably bigger?
I remember a few tears as a kid when Hill moved on but this is worse. We were the envy of almost every club in the country with Robins at the helm.
Results under a new “manager/puppet” are only one side of the story. We will have to watch some other club have success with
M. R. Could have been us.

You think it should be 1 bullet each?

Yeah exactly that. One for Hitler and one for Osama King Laden; both equally despicable characters 😂

I can fully understand some of the emotion on display, but unsure how the level of hysteria has increased a day later! I feel slightly more optimistic today 🤷‍♂️

After the news broke I went to the gym then played football.
Thought I'd be calmer after that, by the time I'd had a shower I was angrier and I was fucking raging when I woke up this morning :ROFLMAO:

I just felt a bit sad / disappointed yesterday. Today I feel like “well you never know, new manager might work”. Obviously, the evidence so far suggests that won’t be the case but I can dream!

Still very angry now. Hopefully we will be singing a form of the Man Utd - Ed Woodward chant tomorrow. Doug King is as low as a nonce.

Read a lot of stuff on here. Mostly negative towards Doug. My two penneth worth. I think Doug is doing what needs to be done. Also, I think he pulled the plug on Robins at the right time. He was going nowhere.

I have a lot of respect for Robins and everything he has done for the club. However, I feel he had run out of ideas, was tinkering for the sake of tinkering. Results said he had to go. One win in the last nine championship games last season and a poor start this season.

Robins persisted playing players out of position. Last season one of our most potent partnerships was MVE left back and Saka on the wing. I can't think of one game this season where we played this. He chose to put Lati and left back and MVE further forward? Saka in as an attacking midfielder. Saka is probably the most skilled winger in the championship but he almost refuses to start him where he needs to play. Was bizarre.

I think Doug has made some great investments over the last two years and I am pretty sure he will continue to do so. I look forward to our next manager. I live I hope he will get a very strong squad performing as it should.. Onwards and upwards.
Cheers for the post Doug. I hope your next shit is a hedgehog and if you should have a heart attack, I hope the defibrillator is broken.

I always assumed you were about 60 so I'm impressed you're still playing.

I haven't played 5s in 3 years. Really annoyed. But can't find a regular game anymore. We muster 5-6 max in the old group I'm in and no point booking

It's hard to get consistent numbers. The lads who run ours do a great job, we very rarely have to cancel
