Has Doug or Robins ever come out and said there's any suggestion of a no loans policy? Or have we not found a good fit?
We tried to loan someone it seems but they got injured, we will try and loan if we need to but the policy is it's better to own the players

Match thread meltdown specialist having a pop about other people’s emotional rants..

I'll own getting pissed off or overly happy depending on how a match goes.

Not quite the same as people saying they wouldn't want to get into the premier League because it wouldn't be with robins and the other nonsense.

You are the undisputed forum number one for being obtuse and ranting, usually about things you clearly don’t really understand 😁

You literally are outraged from Tunbridge Wells every day on here

Would have assume this would have been prebooked for the international break. Weird tho as surely she will make a decision or be advising Doug.

It's not 1972 now.

I'd bet the vast majority is over teams and the like now so if she was needed she would just get on a call to give any views if asked for.

Fair enough, assumed it was a she’s gone and not having contact.

Got to remember what my rugby coach used to tell me about assuming 😝

How can anyone vote to say they would be happy with Frank lampard as manager is beyond me. The guy is a fraud as a manager.

Win percentage of 27% At Everton and 9% (1 win in 11 games with a very good Chelsea squad) in his last two jobs is saying he is on par with Wayne Rooney as one of the worst managers in recent times.

We NEED to look at other options otherwise we are back to facing the likes of Bristol Rovers, Northampton and Doncaster in the next few years.

This keeps confusing me. I thought the entire point was you don’t change the staff every time you change head coach.
That, I think is correct to a degree.

The idea is you create the larger footballing structure to deal with recruitment mostly because managers are hugely expendable. I don't think it normally, I don't think it normally extends to the whole coaching set up though (is that the case with us?).

No there's a few of us that prefer to be away from that nutplace, but most of us will be older folk I'd assume!

Lampard summarising on The Premier Channel

"Everybody has to back the manager. No manager wants to work with more than 23 or 24 players. "

Would not be a surprise if Lampard is the next Manager. Exactly what you would expect from an owner who knows very little about how great players perform as managers. For every Pep, Zidane and Keegan there are an overwhelming number of Hursts, Bobby Charltons and Rooneys. The key is how they perform over a period of time and Lampard's record overall is poor.
As Ron Liddle said, this feels like a Rooney replacing Eustace moment and will all know how that ended.
We need a manager who has been class everywhere and has had a fair amount of experience. A tough choice but I have absolutely no confidence in King's ability to make the right decision.
Robins has over 800 games behind him and I would imagine he has a very high percentage win rate here. Lampard has been unimpressive especially at Everton. At Derby he was ok with top quality Chelsea loans but that is it.

Interesting this as means a couple would get the axe. Would imagine Fabio Tavares and either Ben Wilson or Brad Collins. Think Norman will get a fair few chances in this squad and bizarrely maybe Kai Yearns.

Its like saying let's look at Mourinho's first stint record at Chelsea. Doesn't help make him a prime candidate for the Man City job now does it.

Not like Lampard's win % of 42 and 47 in his first two stins is pulling up any trees either.

The fact is, Lampard has failed in his last two jobs by a long way and does not give any confidence he's the right man to take this club forward after 7 strong years for us.

He did well at Chelsea first time around. 4th and FA Cup final.

Was that Derby squad really better than the squad we have now ?? I’m not so sure ……
