King may well have been stretching things and exaggerating the reality, and he sure knows how to choose his words- as you’d expect.. apart from when he essentially revealed that he thinks our coaching staff are garbage

Still feel dejected and gutted at how this has unfurled and I don’t understand why appointing an assistant manager proved so difficult. This has snowballed into something far bigger than it ever needed to be.
This feels like a return to the dark times of a conveyor belt of shit managers. Robins was the one that completely changed how I felt about the City, from apathy and embarrassment to pride and love.
Despite having a ST, I’m going to really struggle to bring myself to go up again anytime soon. Really gutted.

12 days until the next game. Lots of beer to piss up the wall between now and then. I'm sure it already feels better than Thursday, we'll be itching to get back up in a couple of weeks.

I just can’t see it right now. I have been angry and gutted at the decision since Thursday and even tonight hasn’t helped.
I’d do anything to get MR and AV back on the touch line for us, where they belong.

You're not alone in that, but it ain't happening any time soon, so have no choice to accept it. Can't affect anything so we support the team. It's bigger than us, it's bigger than Robins and Adi, it's certainly bigger than King, so we get on board, rinse and repeat. It might seem a little disloyal, to your own beliefs possibly too, but the club is what matters.

Chris Ramsey was interviewed by MR. CR thought it went so well that the next step was a wage negotiation but subsequently got a call, on behalf of the owner, stopping the process, siting poor timing as the reason.
Perhaps the omission in the story tonight was that King had decided in early October that he’d given MR long enough to find an assistant and was considering sacking him back then. Either way.. unless MR’s able to give his side of the story, we’ll never get to weigh up both sides.

Having supported the club for 55+ years I can recall (many years ago) not wanting to go out on a Saturday night if we had lost a game...much to my then girlfriends annoyance,I used to drop her off home at 11pm .Remarkably by that time i usually felt ok and found myself in Mr Georges until 2am kicking out time... loads of the then players would be in there too

I get what you’re saying. From someone that was at Wembley to watch us lose on Pens to Luton and England to lose to Italy too, this genuinely hurts more.
I remember how shit it was following us before Mark Robins. It was embarrasing to be a Coventry City fan at times. Northampton, Slade, Dowie, Coleman, Peter Reid, Andy Thorn, Bothroyd- gives me shudders.
I think I need some time away from football. The appointment of some of the managers mentioned will tip me over the edge.

Like it or hate it, King gave a pretty open explanation on why he made his decision. Its not hard to follow and if true the conclusion was just a matter of time. Robins was a brilliant manager for us and with Adi they deserve a lot of credit for the success we had. But once that relationship had collapsed and one had to go this outcome became inevitable.
King has to make a big decision now and im sure he has more than a few options open to him. Its a hard job to follow but King will be looking at some top names over the next week or so unless he already knows who he wants that is.

You're not the only one feeling that. I'm sure we've all had patches were we just weren't on it. Either glorious things will happen or gates will drop off for a few years. A time will come when you are excited to be a CCFC fan again. What's important is that you look after yourself in the meantime.

Leaving aside all the flannel, we seem to be saying that Robins has gone because of a petty-sounding quarrel with a coach, and an inability to bring in a quality replacement and set up a structure where they could work together. And now we’re buying a lottery ticket to determine the future of the club?

DK thinks Robins is clueless without Adi.
He wanted Adi too stay due to the above but when he sacked Adi, Adi probably had a pop at him and isn't welcome back.
Someone was shagging about and Turner got name checked for revealing it.
The current coaches are turd.
MR wouldn't/couldn't find an Assistant.

The write up takes a relatively negative slant imho. King had clearly done his research on here/twitter and adjusted his explanation accordingly but...
He believes that our 'deck' is a thing of beauty, that we are all lucky he gave us his fantastic 'deck' and that we should all be greatful to experience it. Even if you take the view that he is a deranged narcissist, he is a human being and we are all fallible. If you are rational about it he is in this for glory (maybe money but probably glory) and rightly or wrongly he genuinely concluded that Robins could no longer deliver that in the absence of Vivesh. It is likely that decision was made in frustration with Robins and he may have been mislead by the ease of his first year and a half of ownership but it feels like he genuinely thought this was the right call.
I would take the comments that he has no plans for the future with a pinch of salt BUT that is what he said. He hopes to have someone in soon but is comfortable with Carr taking the next couple of matches. I think the 1st of January would be a stretch. He wants someone in before the transfer window but he wants them to have time to properly assess the squad before then. Reading between the lines, I think he expects this to be sorted by the next game.

King might as well have waited and sacked Robins just before Christmas if that was his thinking. He obviously didn’t have faith that MR could do it alone and he’s hardly endorsed the existing coaches tonight.
Waiting and tempting relegation is a big issue for him… so he isn’t waiting until January m8

It’s only slander if it’s not true. In that case they’d have a field day but it wouldn’t be part of a settlement agreement. King will most certainly have taken legal advice before the meeting himself on what to say and what not to say.

The owner trusted the package of MR and AV to take us forward. MR terminated that and chose a new structure of coaches that didn’t seem to have the same quality for the players. The results have slumped and without quality coaches to support MR and the team, his position became untenable.
The results themselves could justify a change in management if we’re honest with ourselves.
