If you look at the history of the United Stand they’ve got a lot of things spot on, not just a blogger in fairness to them.
Like what? And we’re suddenly supposed to believe they have close links to both Ruud van Nistelrooy and Doug King now?

Did King not mention on Monday that re recruitment, the head coach would be involved as Robins was. Does King have links to the Redknapps as well? Collomosse said only the other day that it's a shortlist of 5/6, now it's two but also Carsley as a third option. Quite a specific update, but still doesn't ring true
He did say interviews were being conducted through the weekend. Plausible interviews have had a couple out of the running.

On the head coach recruitment, that’s the issue mentioned with Lampard. Might make sense if Doug wants him but is having second thoughts.

On Redknapp I remember someone saying Doug was friends with them all earlier

This post from another thread calls some of the transfers from the summer window as an example.

Also what the fuck does King have to do with the Redknapps

It's your typical hedge your bets so so you can be right if multiple things happen tweets clowns like him post

Piecing it all together now. Doug goes for a late night session with Harry, gets convinced to sack robins by drunk text and hire Frankie in.

So if I've got this right, King has friendly connections to the Lampards / Redknapps, and has let the world know that Frank has applied for the job. But he's running this recruitment process professionally with a completely open mind, and wouldn't find it at all awkward to give the job to someone else?

I came to terms with it potentially being Lampard … BUT … if Ruud is the preferred choice and we go with Frank over the Redknapp connections then I hope Mark sues the bastard.

His record at Everton and West Ham is not bad though and he has won a European trophy. West Ham are doing worse since he left and he is is a stable manager. Even if he is not a swashbuckiling type, those credentials appeal to me.

Brew XI manager

Carsley all day long.

remember….
Rooney
Roy Keane
Staam
Gerrard
Scholes
Tony Adams
Stuart Pearce
Ruud Guillett

Big players, all failed as managers.

RVN is a wild card and Lampard has one more chance otherwise he’s done.

My issue, after Doug's remarks, are that if some of the coaches aren't up to it the head coach will need to bring them up to speed even before he gets to the players or were spending again to replace them. Strange times.

Guardiola , cruyff , Zidane , deschamps , Dalglish, Conte , Simeone , Rijkaard , ancelotti

Not entirely sure Roy Keane failed ? Won promotion from the championship

And gullit won the fa cup? Not a total failure

I'd gladly have Keane & Gullitt from that list over Carsley - besides which,Carsley doesn't want the job anyway (Ruud didn't do that bad at Chelsea did he?)
