I really haven't but crack on.

There are appointments i'd prefer, but we have no idea if they were ever actually on the table.

I assume you can find some links somewhere between Doug and his lifelong best mate Harry Redknapp if they are such good chums?

Dean Austin worked with Frank Lampard Sr, Redknapp has been hawking Lampard around and got him the Derby job, King has said he is advised by people in football, ITKs on both sides have said it’s the case.

It’s speculation but it’s the most likely answer as to what’s happened. My question is if we are being advised by someone trying to get his nephew a job how much did that impact the decision to fire Robins?

Still don't want him. If it was anyone else but us replacing success with him I'd be laughing. I will of course back anyone as I always do at the club, but really disappointed with the whole circus around it already.
I don’t think they would, the only people ‘laughing’ at us are Prem/top end Championship clubs who are, frankly, above our level. A lot of neutral pundits look at what Robins has achieved for us as a whole (rightly so) but ignore where we want to be i.e. the Prem. Our form over 30-odd games and transfer spend to league table position was being conveniently swept under the table.

It’s very much a case of ‘wait and see’, we won’t be looking stupid if we start to turn things around under a new manager.

Still going with conspiracy theories because robins has gone? 🤣

You didn't just give an opinion about Robins' tactics. You gave him nine league games after appointing his new coaching team before posting a thread called "Robins has to go" on 5th October. If you look at the reactions, it was really divisive. But now you are calling for unity and saying the SBA will back the new head coach and the team. I'm just pointing out the double standards.

I've said several times that as a supporter I'll back the new guy just like I backed the previous one. I've seen plenty of them over the years.

Robins has to go is based on my opinion…

“Be happy with Frank Lampard or you’re a Facebook conspiracy theorist”

Top work from the rational arm of SBT this morning.

Would be underwhelmed, but he would get my backing and some patience. Can’t see everyone else having the patience part - “we’ve sacked Robins so it needs to instantly be better”.

I suspect you’re right (and there have been mentions in the press that Lampard was keen to secure this if he came to us) but to my ears that was not how King explained the difference between a manager and Head Coach a week ago.

I thought the way Dean Austin explained it was that the head coach / Robins would set the criteria for the type of player that was needed. Austin and his team would source one and then head coach / Robins agrees or not.

Thats funny, the most likely answer a week back was Doug removed Adi and forced a new coaching team on to Robins.

I see the conspiracy theories have gone up a level since then.

Pro tip - If you're getting in bed with GIMOC to try and rationalise your anger, you've gone too far.

Because we were fucking awful.

I haven't said he is? I just pointed out people are being hysterical because robins has gone.

You are saying people can’t be unhappy with him as manager or they’re not supporting CCFC. Yet when you were unhappy with the actual manager you were supporting CCFC. Make it make sense. Or better yet don’t.

In any case, I’ve not seen a convincing argument that Lampard isn’t the most qualified for the role in terms of his experience.
Experienced when compared to whom? This seems to be based on a list of three people, who may or may not have been interested, and discounts the rest of the football world.

If Lampard's appointment is true, it smacks of, 'no plan, let's panic'.

People can't admit when they've got it wrong, best to go on the attack with another conspiracy theory as opposed to admitting they don't know nothing at all.

Hate the extreme positions at times. You’re not a Facebook conspiracy theorist for not liking it or a Doug King shill if you do like it.

Guys it’s forum, we discuss views and often have ridiculous takes on all sides but at the end of the day we all support this club and want what’s best for it.

Football club owner sacks football manager as team is playing shit, is still proving to be too much for some people to grasp.

Am I?

What I'm saying is that people are acting like little bitches and being hysterical. That includes making up scenarios in that Robins is more and more hard done by.

Im not angry. Im disappointed.

Appointing Lampard suggests a lot of worrying things about our owner, not least that he’s advised by Harry fucking Redknapp. I think we’ve fucked it and I think you’d dug into robins out so much you’d have the Andy Thorn scarf out now if he was appointed.

We have the fundamentals of a PO team, we have good form against good teams in recent matches, that’s the base any new manager is starting from.

I’ll judge Lampard at the end of the season if it’s him but I don’t see a top half finish under him as likely and a complete melt down of the changing room attitude a distinct possibility as well as frittering of all our remaining transfer kitty as a distinct possibility.

I just don’t want us to become “Frank Lampards Coventry City”

I think that is inevitable and a bit of a loss of identity as far as I'm concerned. People took the piss because of "Rooney's Rams" and "Wayne Rooney's Birmingham City" on here and in the wider football community and it will now happen to us.

Some of those that laughed at Derby and Blues will no doubt claim it as some positive regarding "profile".

Some of the meltdowns on here though Goblin just because the club "allegedly" isn't getting RVN are OTT.

Sounds about right. But is that how Frank will want it? Maybe that's what the final sticking point is...
