bookie fav from day 1

king confirming this following Monday

talksport and other reputable sources saying advanced talks

you must be living under a rock if you didn’t know Lampard and cov were in advance talks
I’ve said there’s no proof, they all jump on a rumour, it went from advanced talks to crisis talks as soon as that Man Utd fan put it out there, they probably are talking but nobody knows anything,

what proof do you need?

you just think the bookies will put him as 1/8 odds for the fun of it

seriously talks are obviously done behind close doors but to say the deal has been kept quiet and under the radar is just ridiculous

obviously depends on how much king is willing to pay for his services and back room staff and pay more compo out to the coaches here already

Well if that's the case it's not going to happen then is it.

A few of us had reservations about wether king was prepared to spend the money required to employ an "elite level " coaching team .

And now to hear you mention john eustace I can't help but worry we are about to take a gigantic step backwards

proof will be in the pudding

depends what king is willing to give

there is wage cap which meant Hamer and ohare wouldn’t stay

see if he uses the same approach for Lampard. The whole package from offering new contracts and ripping up current deals could cost a lot of money

it all started as soon as Doug said “ we’ve had various applications of which Lampard is one” sky sports had Alan smith on the same night being interviewed about lampard “ potentially “ getting the job, all I said was there’s no “ proof “ from anywhere he’s been talking, that’s all I’m saying, unless you’ve seen any ?

it will cost king a mini fortune in compo for current coaches and the additional salary with the new men
If 2 go back to the under 21’s and Carr stays on as indiv development coach It probably leaves Boateng surplus to requirements which won’t cost a fortune to exit.

You said they were conducting interviews last week and king was on holiday

how thick are you?
You can be a no1 target but still have other interviews.

be a bit silly putting all your eggs in one basket?

as for king. he was hence why Eccles deal only coming out today despite being common knowledge since last week

You said Allardyce was the first choice

Pretty naive of King if he thought Lampard wouldn't want to bring in coaches he knows and can trust.

I'd love us to bring in some unknown (to us) foreign coach. It's worked well for players like Sako and Torp, and its currently working for Sunderland - they got Regis Le Bris as Manager from FC Lorient and he's doing a pretty decent job at the SoL. I bet he's on cheaper wages than Lampard would be on here as well.

Hope our recruitment will still actively look abroad, like you mentioned Saka, Torp, Hamer, Wright for example

Which coaches are handling the U21's and U18's if it's not Dempsey and Delaney, if those guys are taken out of the first team picture I guess the incumbent U18 & U21 coaches will be released.

The information about academy staff isn't on the club website as far as I can see. The best information I found was a 10th Sept article in the Cov Telegraph when the team photo was taken.

We’re talking about someone that seemingly decided in early to mid October he was sacking MR. Any kind of basic due diligence would’ve indicated the replacement would want bring in his own staff.
I’m sure King said the new manager will be able to bring in their own people at the conference. If Lampard wants an assistant and another it’s not to difficult to see why there might be a speed bump to getting the deal done.

I quite like the idea of someone unknown.

But the main think I get from the post is there's a guy who's basically called Regis the Circumcised.

To me King is learning the hard way. He might have looked at how much the wage for this kind of position is presently and expected similar again. But those Lampard wants with him are expecting more. It would be like signing a few good players wage wise and we know he doesn't like signing loan players as there's no value added like with a player of your own.

Yet some seem to think they are not in place because they don't want to start with a harder game.

you making up things in your head?

show me where I said fat sam was first choice.

if you can show me those exact words then I’ll give £100 to charity?

If you can’t, will you give £100 to mine?

I said they had met. maybe he’s the man giving king advice? Who knows but to say I said sam was first choice is laughable and more so people liked your post. odd bunch on here

There’s some crossed wires here, Ashley Cole hasn’t left England, he’s gone back to his U21 role like Carsley. He actually left Birmingham this year where he was first team coach to focus purely on it.
