I’d honestly rather the hold up was more down to him wanting his mates with him, than King waiting for an “easier” game.

Tell you what, Frank. When we play Leeds and you’ve already been appointed, you can go and hide in a cave until it’s safe to come back out.
He’ll get some stick when we play Leeds that’s for sure

yea no chance its fixture difficulty related, it could be timing in terms of not giving him 1 day coaching before a game though.

Why start yesterday with a game today.

I'd expect him to be at Ryton tomorrow prepping for Cardiff or if they haven't ironed everything out yet, the Monday so he has a whole week before Millwall

We've got Albion and Millwall away after Saturday.
I might be wrong but the notion he's waiting until we have 1 easier fixture sounds like nonsense.
It is nonsense. These things don’t just happen overnight.

The new manager will want to get things in place before starting too. 3 weeks to interview candidates and negotiate is not a long time. To use Ten Haag as an example again, it’s almost definitely the case that Man U were in talks with Amorim before they sacked ETH.

Assuming it’s the right decision to sack Robins, he is still a living legend and to be so sneaky and negotiate behind his back is just a disgraceful way to treat him.

We’ve gone 3 games without a manager and we’ve got 2 draws so far… it’s hardly been a disaster.

Agreed. It's a cliche, but there are no easy games whatsoever in this league. So if anything, I'd say that starting with a home game against a team lower in the table is more of an unwanted banana skin, because people perceive it to be a cinch.

The rumour with amorim was that they had spoken to him before deciding to stick with ETH but couldnt convince him to leave sporting at that point and werent fully committed to sacking ETH.

So when they did sack him, they went back to Amorim and said its now or never. Which is why it was wrapped up so quickly

This really isn't taking that much time, we are so used to managers who need a job. FL doesn't ever have to work again so will not just sign the first offer we make.
