i feel as though school kids would have asked more probing questions, and actual reporters asking questions like "frank, if you were a biscuit, what kind of biscuit would you be?"
Gordon Strachan would have been a ginger nut.

The number of repeated questions being asked is pathetic. It's so basic and poor, making it challenging for Lampard to keep giving essentially the same answer every time!

“What draws you to football management, because surely you don’t need to, and why Coventry City?”

One question and he wasted it with that. Fucking idiot, whoever it was.

Later on as well, “why bother, why do you need to?”

Fuck me 🤦‍♂️

There were some weird questions, basically just saying "you're rich".

The same could be said for 99% of managers. One major positive for us is that he has to succeed to have a future in management.

Would love to see someone pull this in the hiring committee.

“No I know he’s been fired in days at each of his last five jobs, but that’s the beauty you see, he has to succeed here or no one will ever hire him”

I thought he came across well, but he is used to dealing with the media so you would expect that. Time will tell and I think the time to see if we are going in the right direction will be at the end of the season.

I have no expectations around League position except pull away from relegation. I think we need to just build a foundation now and get ready to go again next season.

Really just want to see us improve on the pitch. Even if we finish 17th but you can see a style being developed and improving I’ll be happy. I do think with this team if you do that you won’t be anywhere near 17th, but that’s what matters really. Just some hope that Lampard and co know what they’re doing.

King in a team photo, lap of honour, gym etc, is totally different to being at a new managers first press conference.

Joy Sappala or Doug King, who's the better CEO ?

I know which one I prefer đź‘‘ every time.

By your logic no one on here should have ever have criticised Robins because he succeeded Russell Slade

Some people throwing out insults because Doug King is in a few photographs.

It's pathetic.

Have people actually seen a press conference before?

The questions were repetitive because each journalist wants to write how Lampard answered his question about…

It was a good idea to point out who Doug King was because most of the people at the Press Conference haven’t ever done one at the CBS before. Normally our conferences are attended by CWR, the CT and maybe one other, this one had reps from the National (and international) media there. Most of them wouldn’t know DK if he fell on them.

Lampard did well - especially with the “Coventry doesn’t feel like a small job to me” and the refusal to get drawn into a pointless “we’re aiming for the playoffs” hostage to fortune. However, as he said himself the only thing that matters are results and performance on the pitch.

That's really not what people are saying. But you're trying to reduce the point to something trivial because you haven't really got a coherent argument other than 'but sisu'.

He likes the limelight far too much for some people's, including mines, liking and that's just an example of it.

I said in another post, he's got a big ego but a thin skin, that's not a good combination for a man I his position.

But if you're happy with it, great, butitheres a few red flags I there for some of us.

And as I also keep repeating, the fact we had sisu should be exactly the reason we're suspicious of any new owners and not happy clapping everything they do

Again, no coherent argument. Quite something from someone who accused others of having the intelligence of wombats :ROFLMAO:

No point in having an argument with people like you who can't see the bigger picture.

That's a verbose way of saying I havent got an argument.
If what you're trying to do is imply I don't think King has been good for the club then you're wrong, but there are still things he needs calling out on.
