Hull will surely have a new manager by then. Would be incredibly spicy if it’s MR

What do we reckon? I’m going optimistic: new manager bounce and a healthy 10 points. WDLWW

Anything less than 12 points needs a sacking, coaching staff or head coach, we will need a sacrifice.

Only joking, being enthusiastic, like Doug the toff scoffed when asked about Lampard having a 2.5 year contract which is quite short, managers don’t last that long anyway.

After Doug has thrown everyone under the bus and grandstanded it with Lampard, we need three wins minimum. Individual errors have to be cut out.

Cardiff, Hull and Portsmouth have to be 3 wins.
Millwall and WBA, both away, are hard to call. But lets be honest if we can show some spirit and grit we should be looking to get something out of both games. Neither are really scoring for fun at the moment.

So 9 points should be minimum, though I'm hoping 10 or 12.

Call it ridiculousness with the new manager feeling but. ....

Genuinely think we go on a mental run and are top 10 comfortably by the time we go and pick up our yearly defeat away to Norwich

This team can't defend, and we have a bloke in charge now who likes to attack. That is the only way we will do anything until the Jan window.

It will be typical Cov to go on a run like that aswell. We always do it once a season 🤷‍♂️

So far this team has managed a grand total of two good consecutive performances. If he gets 10 from them I’d be equally impressed and surprised

It's definitely a mental issue with the players but that is such a huge part of the game. If we get momentum it could happen but I think it's safer to be more realistic, based on our performances so far.

Robins was able to do it the last two years, fingers crossed that Lampard can get it out of them.

why not, apart from Leeds and Burnley we’ve been in every game, we’re scoring enough to be top 7 ,either tighten up at the back or just score more 😂 it doesn’t need a lot to turn things around,

It was beyond MR to get a tune out of them this season, perhaps FL with more experience of working with ‘modern’ young pros can instead. I still hold the players largely responsible for the shit form and they have no excuses now.

Team that beat milwall away 3-0 last season, we went on a decent run with that back 4 ? What changed ?

The swing in opinion is incredible. The 'failed Derby manager' seems to have transformed to 'the messiah' after a couple of good YouTube interviews.

We'll be lucky to win 2 of these 5, our defenders and simply not good enough.

Looking st last season we did very well with the Barnsley connection. Collins, Thomas and kitching with bidwell and MVE, not sure why but Binks came in for kitching ( suspended ?) for the hull game we lost 3-2 don’t think the back fours been the same since,, maybe worth going back to that ?

Well you cannot blame the new manager for the players he has inherited

Definitely agree with the last bit

MVE IS a good player. Without doubt.

But he has produced a number of under par performances this season. He just seems out of form. No idea why.

Sheaf IS a good player. This season his performances have been sub-par on a number of occasions. We do know he has been carrying an injury though.

Simms. Look at at his stats last season. This season he seems completely bereft of any confidence.

I know some are saying we are not a good side, but you have to take into account the fact that good players are underperforming and that does make us look worse

If Sheaf and MVE can produce their best levels again, we know they are top players in this division.

You can blame Robins for a number of things, but you can't blame him for players being out of form.

Hopefully FL being here will give players a new lease of life and boost their performance levels.

I'm not saying that, I'm saying predicting 6 wins out of the 8 games before Christmas is just mental. This team will only be up to standard once the defensive issues are addressed, we can't hope to score 3 goals every week.

Maybe they’ll respond to him better than they have to an old school type like MR. Have to hope so anyway.

Simms stats for a lot of last season were very poor. Van Ewyick has never looked that great either as a wing back.

Yeah, but that's a little unfair. Because at first he looked a poor buy and then suddenly came good. So the stats are obviously a little bit skewed because of that.

I think on many occasions, MVE has looked a very good player.

Definitely not playing so well this season.

I would just add, I don't think we are a poor side at all.

I think we are maybe two or three players away from being a very good side.

Simms I think has scored in about 12 league games. He looks a very poor signing.

Our back line is abysmal - none of them are players you’d associate with a good side.

Back 4 last season when we played our best was always , mve, kitching, Thomas bidwell, with collins, somethings Drastically gone wrong with them ? Being coached differently, midfield not defending ?

We will have to agree to disagree then.

I think MVE is a very good player and that Bidwell is decent enough on the other side. I think Thomas is half decent.

Binks, I am still not too sure on. I see Dasilva and Lati and Kitching as weak links right now.

I reckon if we got a decent back to play alongside Thomas, Thomas' game would come on leaps and bounds too.

If we now go and win 3 or 4 in a row under FL, will you still say we're a poor side?

Watching the game for eons, you always see how a signing or two can change a side completely. When we had Dennis Wise we looked a completely different proposition.

I think if we can get a good centre back, a playmaker and a new left back/wing back, we will be a very decent side.

No fucking about. Coaching structure is there. If players can’t get motivated under a new manager then we are bang in trouble. Get tomorrow out the way first with an entertaining win to kick it all off.
