Get the wish for a settled side, stop chopping and changing, but we still look dodgy at the back. An honest conversation with a new boss and a chance to start afresh with a new attitude would show maturity on both sides. Give him a run out.

To be fair when I watched Kitching play for Barnsley, I think it was his last game, he gave a pen away and didn't look interested can't remember if he got sent off, whereas Styles looked very good so obviously we get the lesser player .....possibly

Point is Kitching Bidwell and Collins get this reputation on here based on nothing but the fact they look hard. Despite not being very good at their job. Then the others who are in ahead of them get dogs abuse for the crime of keeping a favourite out.

You can literally count Binks and Lati’s clean sheets on one hand in the games they’ve played in 30-40 games.
I can accept the role tactics play in this stat, you look at goals like WBA’s 2nd and that’s a piece of horrific defending from Lati.

Kitching, Collins and Bidwell are hardly forum favourites are they ffs. Open your eyes.
Kitching is better than Lati, he's not great but the only time we've looked defensively sound in the last year and a half is with him and Thomas at CB. That's a fact, not opinion. I'd buy a new CB but its what we have atm, you can thank Robins.
Collins should be out of goal and Dovin in, most people agree with that.
Bidwell isn't really a favourite, he's a better defender than your favourite Dasilva but i'd be upgrading on both of them ASAP.

Bidwell is a huge favourite. People think cos he’s cos a skinhead he can defend and demand him every time he’s not playing.
We looked defensively sound when we had a defensive coach. That’s down to far more than a single player.

The thing with Lati is he’s played for play off teams consistently, plays for his country and came through an elite academy. If he’s as bad as you claim, what are you seeing that successive pro managers and coaches aren’t.

Thomas aside, Kitching still has the most clean sheets of our defenders.
If we had a striker on the bench who had more goals than our starters, it would be strange to not start them. In fact, the reverse is what we do with Bassette…

A lot of our goals are down to players either pissing around with it or being fearful of making a tackle. Lati is brilliant at both of those things.

Think on Lati as much as this will horrify the forum, think would be better as a DM dropping back to support the CBs to allow the two 8s to get higher up the pitch.

He actually hasn’t, he played 8 games that season Swansea got in the playoffs. The season after, his break out season, Swansea finished lower than us conceding 68 goals and 64 the season after (2022/23) before joining us.
In fact, he hasn’t played a lot of CB in a back 4 outside of playing for us.
Last run out his fitness was lousy AFAIR he looked like an old cogger anbling back,I certainly hope he's been working on it !

Agree on this. Thought to have a look at Latis this year stats and Kitchings last year considering game time for them both.
Looks on this basis that Kitching is better overall but happy to let you judge as everyone will want different things from CBs.
