Yeah but he's said he didn't see that but he still keeps saying they had the best chances 🤣🤣🤣

I saw it but I’d want to see it again as it was down the other end is all. FFS you’re desperate to find something. Calm down.

Simms was no better, despite coming on against a tiring defence as we were pushing for a breakthrough.

We lacked creativity today, Sakamoto was very poor, he just stopped and played the ball backwards too many times rather than looking to get past the fullback or whip a cross in.

Rudoni had a decent game, but we missed the trickery of EMC that might of unlocked Millwall.

Eccles Torp and Sheaf were too safe in possession and lacked the drive to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Millwall looked like they came to frustrate and take a point, and we didn't have the knowhow to combat that.

Simms and Basstte offered nothing because we didn't actually play the ball over the top for them.

They are both, like Haji, best when running in behind. We have to play to their strengths and Robins and Lampard have not yet realised it.

We have to start playing some ambitious forward passes. Unfortunately, our midfield are weak mentally and scared to do it

Why are you still obsessing over Robins? You got your wish, albeit 7 years later.

It's definitely the ones who accuse others of obsessing over Robins who mention him the most!
As for today, I think 3 games in 8 days, with todays against a very stubborn side, is definitely a factor.

After Portsmouth, a game which was levels of shitness beyond any other performance this season, I said I wanted Lampard to tighten up at the back and make us difficult to beat so I not going to complain about 2 clean sheets in a row.

However, at some point, we are going to have to see the elite level coaching we were promised no matter how upset the Kingies get when people mention it.

Though for me, that's a while away, just need to consolidate for the next few months, keep it tight at the back and build from that.

For the sake of this thread

Swansea are 9th

Sheffield Wednesday 11th

Derby are 16th

People talk about these 3 teams like they're cannon fodder

Do continue

Think the issue was that when we did try those long balls they were terrible.

I agree with this… nobody seemed to have any idea on how to try something different, or even up the pace a bit. Very naive- lots of huffing and puffing but no clue on how to break them down.

Just want to see these players put two performances in a row together. Takes the edge off when you can’t get excited about a win being the turning point cos you know we’ll be shit again next match. Such a frustrating bunch of players.

I must admit to getting frustrated when no one in midfield wants to take any responsibility to get us on the front foot.

It was that bad at one point today, I even wanted Allen to come on !!!

I’ve been harsh as it goes. Bassette did offer an offside, 15 seconds into the game. I should lay off.

We upped the pace as soon as we came out for the second half? Didn't they show that on BBC stats?

I’ve concluded that id keep 4 of these players and the rest I wouldn’t be sad to see go

Wright, EMC, Rudoni and Bassette (for potential).

MVE and Sheaf appear to have gone backwards, and generally I think shmmeee said it went Robins went - the team is unlikeable

Allen should be getting more minutes. He's a solid Championship footballer and hasn't had a sniff in.

Crap game, little progressive passing, too slow & only two clear cut chances. Pretty woeful home performance despite what some would say.
I’ll take the point and move on, that said the Plymouth game did gloss over the glaring issues we still have.
How Bobby Thomas got MOTM is beyond me, nearly cost us the game with that terrible back pass choice. Thankfully Dovin was far enough out & quick enough to stop the chance.

4 points from what some wanted 9 isn’t a great return, hoping Frank & Doug have irons on fire for January as we need some freshness

The only thing il say on how we've started under lampard is that we've played the bottom 4 , played millwall twice and 1 top 10 side in west brom .

We play another bottom 4 club NYD so it won't get any easier for us from this point on

First half was so dire. 2nd half was better but still no real killer instinct. We need to find a way to play against these aggressive/defensive sides.

The 4 touches before making the pass everyone knew was going to happen is not good enough.

I use to be annoyed by Robins with lack of plan B, and late changes but feel FL is the same really.

Best players today were probably Rudoni and Lati. Feel like MVE has gone quite far backwards to the point it feels like watching Lati from last season.

Millwall came to defend. They’re good at it. Today is not really a massive reflection on our players. We could/should’ve won it with the only real chance of the game.
I’ve been angry after some of our performances this season. This ain’t one of them.

Agree, we need to figure out our game plans etc while we have these opponents because when the games get harder we will be tested.

Hopefully a few signings should help. Might be being optimistic

I think with the players we have and the way we play we find it easier to play more flowing teams so playing these lower teams is more difficult (other than Plymouth who for some reason still tried to play out from the back at 3-0 down).

Bang on for me unfortunately.

I've backed Lampard more than anyone but his lack of drive in the second half was deeply concerning. Plenty of options on the bench but he didn't take any risks.

Very similar to Robins.

CWR callers ffs. Should have got Allen on for Sheaf. Yep that’s exactly what we needed.

The key will be when Lampard has had the a couple of windows to bring in the players he wants.

I don’t think we should have. Same issues we’ve had all season, slow on the ball, predictable, cowardly. And not particularly solid defensively even against a team not trying to attack.
