Wonder if there will be a bid for Hamer in Jan from a prem side. Sheff united are tight for cash and it would them up royally.
Haven’t they just been taken over?

Hope sunderland go up tbh. Proper team.

Much rather that than another Burnley or Sheff Utd, who will undoubtedly go down with a whimper the subsequent season
You mean like the 2005/6 season when Sunderland got relegated with a record low of 15 points.

Several times when the camera was on Wilder he’d be spitting. What a dirty bastard

Whoever goes up will be straight down without serious investment.

Sheffield United conceded 104 goals last year with virtually the same players.

Just watching Sunderlnd Portsmouth game. sunderland 1-0 up after 7 min with a great counter attacking goal. Fast attacking football, striker taking his chance one on one and fans on the edge of their seats every time Sunderland players running with the ball.

They hardly spent anything either. As much as I hate to say it I can see them going up and they remind me of our play off season grinding results out, last minute goals and a team of mainly freebies and home grown talent with one or two transfer surprises

12 appearances, total of 617 minutes.

Don’t think he’s been “bad” for them, but certainly not been missed since injury. Still glad we didn’t sign him.

Jimmy Dunne for QPR misses an open goal. If he was playing for us there would be multiple threads stating how shit he was.

The worst thing about the last few weeks if our strikers take their chances, Bassette should of made it 2-0 against pompey,BTA scores header against Cardiff and his chance at Norwich to make it 2-0,we would be on 37 points looking at playoffs. In this league you have to take your chances.

The margin between being a playoff/auto team and being a bottom half team in this league is very little. Revisiting the 22/23 season, how often did we grind out results where we won when we should've drew or drew when we should've lost.

Right now, it feels that every 50/50 goes against us. I'm a firm believer that you make your own luck in life and this team just makes life hard for themselves defensively and doesn't gamble in attack.

I believe we'll do some good business in this window and the next and develop the team to next level.

It’s a streaky confidence based league outside the parachute clubs. It’s why the manager and the team mentality is so important IMO. Small margins make huge differences.

His pay off would be massive, on £2M a year apparently.
That’s a lot! I’m surprised he hasn’t been sacked but he probably deserves a chance to turn the ship around.

Their team will probably be gutted in the summer too to make things worse for them. Frankly, if we don’t at least get within 6-10 points of playoffs this season, our better players may want to leave themselves as we need to demonstrate we are serious about promotion.

Maybe our players should demonstrate that themselves.
