Assume this means we’ll have funds so can get moving on a CB. Things can move they quickly this window
Should still have the Palmer money as well, though that may have gone on pay offs.

Closes on the 3rd so still have another 25 days left yet
Yeah it’s the 3rd this year.Oh really?
Apologies then I thought it was 31st
Assume this to be the case or the cost of the new staff as none of the new three would be cheap by any stretchShould still have the Palmer money as well, though that may have gone on pay offs.
Love this deal.
Love this deal.
Absolutely ridiculous deal. Apparently due to the manager connection.
Mason mount next year?Lampard needs to do the same. Probably not this season but for next season. Sunderland in a good position for a promotion push.
That’s not the case.
Bournemouth enquired about Simms. Some conversation about Billing whilst it was being discussed.

It’s not being pedantic. Your were just wrong.I did say soon
It's the 16th a week today. Over halfway if you want to be pedantic
Look where Luton are nowWhat could have been if we'd beat Luton that day.... Ipswich about to sign Philogene! It's quite literally a different league once you get up, financially. Luton about to sign Isiah Jones too, good player!
Yes, I guess my point is that financially teams go into a different league. Luton have spent badly, spending 15m on that McGuinness! But they have a stadium to fund.Look where Luton are now

Look great in League 1 with they aren't careful. They, sensibly, funded a stadium rather than buying anything that moved just because they had a shit load of cash. Like King did.
Not sure if any of the ITK’s have heard similar, but have heard Lati out is all but done, and the fee is pretty good.
To be fair to King, could we even of bought the stadium if we have all the funds to Ashley? Unless we want to open up the old stadium plansThey, sensibly, funded a stadium rather than buying anything that moved just because they had a shit load of cash. Like King did.
Never really rated that Isiah Jones, crap against us in the play-offsWhat could have been if we'd beat Luton that day.... Ipswich about to sign Philogene! It's quite literally a different league once you get up, financially. Luton about to sign Isiah Jones too, good player!
sunderland ?Who to?
Yeah I think we’ve all ended up in a Turner “story” at least once haven’t we?
I’ve heard that he’s “on a list” for Sheff Utd. And in my words, there are targets also on the list that you would surely pick ahead of him like Omabamidele. Not sure if any of the ITK’s have heard similar, but have heard Lati out is all but done, and the fee is pretty good.
Was it really though... He didn't exactly fit the profile.Browne not coming because it was leaked we were after Stamanic as well.
This assumes it was a case of either/or. Was there no money for a midfielder or did we just fail to bring one in? At the time we brought BTA a lot on here thought we were desperate for a striker to replace Golden so if anything Bassette was the mistake. Personally I think the club assumed/gambled that Gyokeres and Hamer would move but that is just me speculating.Biggest summer balls up was signing BTA instead of a CM . The urgency of the CM issue was obvious to virtually everyone with the exception of those responsible for recruitment and final purchase decisions.
Over to you Dr. ClaireWasn’t it said that character / personality was 1 of the factors in signing players? Pretty much failed in that department too if this is true
I phrased this rather badly. The meaning was that the money spent on BTA was wasted as he is both shit and was not needed . Better to have those funds for elsewhere in the sideThis assumes it was a case of either/or. Was there no money for a midfielder or did we just fail to bring one in? maybe they thought we didn’t need another midfielder ?, we recruited in the summer to play 433. Eccles, sheaf , torp Allen rudoni and guess they didn’t bank on palmer leaving ? competing for 3 spots, guess they thought that would be enoughThis assumes it was a case of either/or. I think you can only assume one of two strikers last season were for sale and something went wrong? This assumes it was a case of either/or. Yeah TBF I might have looked into loaning him out the instant Bassette came in. They might have done for all I know though. I actually think he is better than most make out and might have had his moments in the run in were we playing for anything but respect your view and agree the squad has no balance.I phrased this rather badly. Maybe, but idk. I would have thought we would have replaced Simms or Wright with a bigger signing. My guess is that BTA came in as Godden's replacement and then Bassette came along and was considered too good an opportunity to turn down.I think you can only assume one of two strikers last season were for sale and something went wrong?
I think it is clear (despite what DK might have said) that we must have been looking for a midfielder in addition to what we had. Robins certainly gave that impression and we were linked with (at least) two. Sometimes things just don't work out.maybe they thought we didn’t need another midfielder ?, we recruited in the summer to play 433. Would be madness to let any of our CBs go without bringing in at least another one ourselves.I would not let Kitching go without cover.
