Excuses now. Page is blocked. Look it up yourself then. Go on Efl website and type in Efl squad list season 2024/25. Then look for Coventry City squad. It lists the players and says weather they are home grown. Then it lists our u21s.

Don't post here that often, because of twats like you. Get your head out your arse and stop making excuses that your incapable of seeing the official squad list, which will prove your wrong about Norman Jaquy A Van Anker Bassette
Answer my question I’ve posted then.

overseas player, signed in the summer for Sunderland, under 21. Yet he’s listed as an u21 player on that page you sent

Another one Kaky Almeida at Watford.

Brazilian, 19, signed in the summer listed as an u21 player.

Doug has either registered Bassette wrong, or he’s purposely registered him as a squad player to make the squad look more bloated than it is

I can't answer that question mate. Will have to ask the Efl to clarify. All I know is however confusing the rules are, Bassette is not classed as an u21

I don’t get this. Clearly we padded the squad with four keepers. We can just remove a couple?

Also U21s like Bassette and Rapha don’t count.

Bassette and Rapha are not home grown (registered for the required 3 seasons in this country) so they do count as part of the 25 despite being under 21.

Not really following this arguement but are people getting confused between homegrown players (of which you need 8 in yours squad) and u21s (which don't count towards the 25 regardless of where they come from). So says 44.9 of the EFL handbook.
Yes.

They think that to be classed as u21 they also have to be homegrown

Sorba Thomas was indeed a target so Gimoc is right

But its not happening now as sheafs injured, the CM is priority

thanks for backing that up

some eggs on faces on this thread. the usual posters laughing who make themselves look silly as per and now very quiet on the thread

But fuck’um city in the 4th round

It’s quite clear Doug is skint. It’s pathetic.

He’s either lied toLampard or Lampards come here knowing he’s getting pennies off bling

Whether or not you rate Lampard it's looking like this move is going to turn out to be a career ending mistake.

This squad is going nowhere without significant funding and is more likely to end up in league 1 than the prem.

Which makes sense, Thomas would make a fine addition to the team but when you have Wright, EMC, Sakamoto with Rudoni as a cover option, it’s less pressing than CM.

We’ve not got a RB to cover MVE so in terms or prioritising which areas to strengthen, a RW would’ve been a pleasant surprise in the same way Bassette was in the summer.

Realisitically, a CM is and should’ve been a top priority even before Sheaf’s injury. Only perhaps behind a CB option that strengthens us which wouldn’t make too much sense in adding to with 4 CBs on the books.

I don’t mind being restrained in Jan if the plans for the summer are ambitious but it’s of paramount importance the fans are kept on side with a strong end to the season and a productive Jan window is going to be important here.
