Well what a game I don't understand why when their keeper was walking with ball near halfway line we not press him but their did it to us all the time when we had goal kick don't theor do that in training the referee tonight should never ref a game again he was shocking every time one of them fell over free kick anyway we in the hat that's what matters

Just got back. Simms needs to play number 9. Simple as. Bassett and BTA flatter to deceive. When EMC and Wright are back you have 3 players for the LW and CF position which can rotate. We need a new RW. Kitching also needs to play.
Excited to see Emc on the left with wright in the middle! Definitely need another rw in the summer.

Like I said with 11 men , with all our Cbs I don't think we concede

We have been seconds away from 2 more clean sheets for lampard. Think signs are he is getting it sorted

I didn't say the sub worked just speculating as to why he brought basette on for him in particular.
To score the winning penalty😉 that took bollox

20,906 in attendance (roughly just over 16k home fans)

The three other all Championship fixtures by comparison were:

Middlesboro v Blackburn 16,794
Sunderland v Stoke 15,744
Sheff Utd v Cardiff 6,126

Robins was even trolling Sunderland for their attendance

It was a strange turnout. Block 15
Three people next to us left with 20 minutes to go. The bloke looked like he’d come last in a clown competition. Didn’t celebrate our goal. I guess him and his youfs thought it would be marvellous being near his fellow supporters. Then 4 more directly behind us left with 15 to go.
SWFC fans? Too cold? Free tickets?
The only other thing I can think of is that I’d shit myself. But no, that was not the case.

I have to say MvE didn't look like a rat wanting to flee a sinking ship, either in his performance or in his celebrations. Not saying he won't leave, Galatasaray would be a good move, but I think the people that leak to posters on here are dramatising again.

Some will. Evidence suggests they are always wrong though.

Look what we did today without 2 best players on paper. Add 3rd best player based on form.

Formation change has worked well. Rotated a few today too. The decks clearly not shite.

Fuck me

Weve just scraped past Sheffield Wednesday on penalties

You and others on here making out weve just walloped a prem side 4 nil

Yes the performance was better but we've been here a few times this season and each time it's been a false dawn

No ones dramatising

We turned down a bid from an Eredivisie side on deadline day. He wanted to go

Galatasary interest is solid. Unless they offer the 10 million Doug wants though it's not happening

But again, he wants to go

Right, but he doesn't seem like a player that is particularly unhappy, one of the less so ones actually.

I've said before I think your source likes a slight spin of negativity with things. I don't mind getting the info on here, its part of the forum fun to me, but I don't believe your guy knows the inner thoughts of every player.

As for GIMOC, at this point he's barely worth acknowledging. To be itk you have to actually get something right eventually surely?

Id like MVE to stay, I like his character and when he plays well he’s great but has a lot of development to do and if we can get £10M that’s good return and FL can probably get other RWBs who are more consistent to be fair.

Selling MvE for that amount is literally what we have to do tbf, it's clearly the 'model' we are trying.
Would be a much needed win for the recruitment team.
We shouldn't abandon that model either, sure we need a couple of Championship pros but we absolutely don't want a team of them.

Ultimately Doug is is no rush. He’ll be gone by summer but if nobody matches want Doug values him at in this window he stays till the end of the season.

Don't be silly. No one has over exaggerated anything. Good performance is not hyperbole

And nothing I said isn't true is it? We are missing players. We have changed formation. We did play some players who don't always start

The deck might not be top 6 but this nonsense that it is awful and that the players have no fight needs to stop

We have grown men on a message board saying they personally dislike or hate players in their early twenties FFS

Sometimes take a step back and see how silly it is

Good, I’m happy for him if he gets his move but the club comes first.

To be fair it should have been a 2-0 win if the ref wasn’t match fixing.

We have been here before but that’s thing we are constantly inconsistent but if we can back it up with a couple of wins, think we’ll fly up the table.

Also I think what most of us want is improvement and effort. That was a lot better than Cardiff or Millwall.

I did not make the game, but the comments on here are pretty consistent

Dovin is locked in and Lampard & Carr's decision to continue playing Collins has cost us.
Kitching was good in defence as well as the goal. His exclusion might also have cost us.
Allen and Torp did a good stint as defensive midfield - I've always seen Torp as a good dispossessor of opposition players
Simms is the best leader of the line in the club, end of.

Next week
5 at the back: EMC (if fit) & Bidders for BTA and Da Silva. So no place for Tats. Seems a bit defensive
4-3-3: EMC, Bidders & Tats for BTA, Da Silva & Binks. With a midfield three of Rudi-Allen-Torp and only 2 in central defence it could be a bit thin at the back
Take your pick, but you might ask why did the midfield struggle once a class operator like Bannon came on?

We were told Frank was strictly a 4-3-3 man. Well obviously he isn't. And echoing somebody up thread. In August you think the Club had as big squad with too many players not getting games. By Christmas, 9 out of 11 places are decided and all the options for the other two are unsatisfactory

People keep saying it should have been 2-0 and theyre right but you still have to manage what the game throws at you.

we fucked up last week, no doubt Lampard watched videos of our league game against Wednesday, a masterclass in throwing points away, and yet we still conceded late and it has to stop .

I know I sound like a kiljoy, and I wouldn't change a thing about how we won because I absolutely loved it, but we're back to the serious business of the league for a few weeks and we have to be better at managing games if we want to start picking points up.

Just watched Matt SB vlog. He was in block 15 and a couple behind him didn't even celibate our goal.
either Wednesday fans or day trippers with nothing else to do on a Saturday evening

Hard to disagree with that but I think sometimes luck doesn’t play for you and at the moment it just seems to be with pissed off the footballing gods.

Binks should have got a free kick, corner should have been a goal. While I agree you do need to play what happens, I think the players deserve some praise for how they kept fighting in spite of a awful ref and his bizzare decisions and the panic they must of had when the goal went in that it was all Norwich.

Hope these kind of wins build that resilience we’ve been talking about

We've had so many false dawns with these players I'll believe it when I see it for 3 or 4 games in a row. Yesterday there weren't any points on the line, which also tends to get better performances out of them.

Consistency is the most important thing in the Championship and these players don't have it, except for a few. I will say, hats off to Dovin for his performance in goal. Sold out by his defence for the goal but otherwise made multiple brilliant saves that his predecessor simply wouldn't have.

The dislike element I get completely in the correct context. Most people work bloody hard to earn enough to afford their standard of living. Generally if they underperform or have a lazy attitude there are consequences financially and in terms of career progression. Footballers need to show that they are putting the effort in and sometimes that hasn't appeared to be the case. They earn more in their short careers than the vast majority do .

Fingers crossed. Don't get me wrong, there were positives from yesterday, but 89 minutes of hard work can easily be unravelled as weve unfortunately found out too often.
That’s the difference between this and the league. In the league we draw and it’s again another negative for everyone, here the get something and hopefully can build some confidence.

Think a cup run could be key to getting the best out of our group. Although I say that we put in an amazing performance against Tottenham and then stumbled up to Swansea…

There's a big difference in wanting to go and pushing for a move at any cost though. It could be he's said yeah I'd go if the right offer comes in or something. He doesn't look disengaged at all.

Consistency would be a welcome change. But the inconsistency of teams in The Championship is what makes it so competitive.
