It was a strange turnout. Block 15
Three people next to us left with 20 minutes to go. The bloke looked like he’d come last in a clown competition. Didn’t celebrate our goal. I guess him and his youfs thought it would be marvellous being near his fellow supporters. Then 4 more directly behind us left with 15 to go.
SWFC fans? Too cold? Free tickets?
The only other thing I can think of is that I’d shit myself. But no, that was not the case.
I had to go for a tinkle at the end of extra time, as I was crossing the concourse to return to my seat I saw this stampede of teenagers running down the concourse from the general area of blocks 15 to 18 to get behind the goal in blocks 28 to 30 where there were plenty of spare seats to get a good view of the pens and of course try and put the Weds penalty takers off.

I found this spectacle quite amusing. 😊

Agree

Sheff Wed have historically been a good fanbase, with no issues with us whatsoever

A few idiots does not define a group of fans

If any Sheff Wed fans were objecting to the insulting going their way, it was probably to object to them all been put in the same basket
Wasn’t the fans objecting, it will be some posh BBC knob who knows fuck all about football.

Their list of wanky cowardly fans is getting bigger by the season, really used to like them aswell as a club but their fans are clearly weirder than ours which is quite the achievement

For those that are saying MVE should go - he is faster than any other player - need to make use of that - pace is expensive

Birmimgham fans did this when they knocked us out of the cup.

We need to find a way to play Wright Simms and EMC

It’s a great idea in theory but I not sure how we do it without playing someone out of position or having an overly attacking formation.

I would see the main options as being:

1. Play EMC at left wing back. I would need some convincing that his defensive qualities are good enough but it could work with three centre backs.

2. EMC left wing, Simms and Haji as strikers (possibly one as a false nine but I’m really not sure about that) and Saka right wing. You could swap EMC and Haji.

My guess is that a lot of the time we will have our least one of them out injured or needing a rest, so the question won’t arise.

Wright right wing?

Wright right wing?

I’m not convinced because most of his good work seems to be when he cuts inside from the left.

That said, once we have hopefully escaped from the spectre of relegation this will be a good season to experiment and this might be one of the things worth trying.

Think he’s likely to be better than Simms or EMC there. He’s pretty two footed.
