2-1 City win . Same starting eleven but release the Hound early second half to run them ragged . Simms & Allen

We will have to be on top of our game but we can pick something up here for sure
Not so sure it will be that difficult, Blackburn have lost form of late.

Swansea likely to lose to Sheff Utd, QPR less likely to lose to Hull but if they both do and we win we could be top half for the first time this season I think.

I think we are starting to pick up results and are getting harder to beat. I fancy us to win this one. Dare I say it, but I think the midfield has improved without Sheaf and Eccles in it. Odd that.

I think it’s more it’s got better with Allen in it TBH. Having a CM who isn’t trying to win the musical statues world championship during games has made a huge difference.

QPR 2nd in form table over last 10 games, and Oxford's home form has been excellent - but yes, it still looks a nice 'group' of games to pick u[ points - particularly if EMC and Wright are available for some.
As a cockeyed optimist who had £20 on us to be champions at the start of the season, I just have a feeling we will go on a run now.
Watched Leeds today and they are not much better than what we can be so why not?

If we start like we did against Bristol we will lose.
We are a bit of a bogey side for Blackburn, but our away form is not great.
Talking to a Blackburn fan down the pub today. I was surprised their fans are not totally convinced with Eustace? Obviously, they hate the owners, but are still stuck in the glory days, and for a relatively small town team expect them to be a Prem team. Their fan said they have a good first 11 but no squad depth.
Keep it nil by substitutes time and we have a chance of bringing a point or three home. Losing their main midfielder is a big plus for us.

Strong argument to keep the same team. We were good for the win yesterday.

However, tired legs might be the issue so we’ll have to trust Frank et al and the stacks of data/resources available to make the call.

Be a shame to change a winning team, especially as I’m not particularly enthused by those who would come in.

I fancy a 1-0 and the momentum to continue.

Hopefully this resurgence in form will have the desired effect and well still have the sign on them, Bit like I hope we do Middlesbrough down here.&

They have lost Tronstadt (captain) and Travis (who are the hub of their midfield). They are not enamoured with Cantwell *won't tackle) and don't like their forwards. Their fans seem to hate us (view us as a bogey team) and for a team in 5th, they are extremely downbeat about their chances against us, I am more hopeful, having read their forum!

All sounds very familiar

It's a different choreographer now!

It’s been a problem in all Lampards games until Allen came in so sticking with my explanation. I think it’s the players more than anything. O’Hare and Hamer gave you dynamism in the midfield we’d sorely lacked since they left. Allen is a Temu version of that but better than none at all.

I'm sure this will get flagged up on their forum at a later date if they do beat us but oh well

I really don’t think these are as good as their league position suggests and I fancy us to get a result
Their form is poor, 5 points in last 6 games and in danger of slipping down the table.

They’ve got injuries to their key players at the moment. I reckon the last couple of games should give us confidence.

Think we will sneak a win at Ewood. BTA to score again as he has been linked to them in this window.

Say it quietly - Looking at our record, give or take a spanking we received at St Andrew’s against them

We seem to be their bogey side dating back all the way to the Prem years

Rarely disagree with you Deity, but I'd leave Lati and BTA in. Bassette lacks BTA's footwork skills and Lati doesn't give the ball away so easily.

Bidwell, meanwhile, is a deity.....
I was thinking more than if their deal to exit is close they won’t be risked.

Their forum fancy us….we fancy us…good win on Sat…Allen playing like Rodri….Return of the Lati…BTA proving a point…Simms unleashing the beast, Safe hands Dovin….

Hope the optimists before me are right but I've got a bad feeling about this game. A January mid-week game at Blackburn in front of a paltry crowd and away following has me worried about the team's motivation, while Blackburn will be keen to put their defeat at Oxford behind them. Having won yesterday the temptation will understandably to stick with the same team but I would feel more comfortable if we had Thomas and Bidwell playing at the back instad of Lati and Dasilva, even if it is a bit tough on them given the clean sheet they helped us achieve.

800 sold as of Thursday (801 after I brought mine)

A win on Saturday and the fact Blackburn will probably make it pay on the gate will take us to over 1000 travelling imo, which isn't a bad effort at all on a Tuesday night at the end of the month where everyone is still broke after Xmas

Make that 802 actually, as I am bringing an Everton supporting pal who lives down the road from B'Burn with me
