Biden issues last-minute pre-emptive pardons to Fauci and others:

It's actually staggering to me how dreadful the Democrats are at politics, and how intent Biden seems on just ripping apart whatever trust remained in the US justice system

I think thereā€™s going to be more fall out from the end of the Biden presidency. He was obviously incapable of running government and there continues to be questions about who was making the calls.

One interesting comment from Trumpā€¦well I do love a good conspiracyā€¦ heā€™s announced theyā€™re going to release the remaining government JFK files, as well as those relating to MLK. Letā€™s see if heā€™s true to his word this time*

*not something you want to rely on obviously

The trust went as soon as the SC ruled the President to be above the law.
The whole point of the Biden presidency was to show that the abuse of presidential power was an aberration. 99% of the way through his presidency and - oops! - I guess the president gets to decide who does and doesnā€™t go to jail after all. Itā€™ll be on the to-do list of every outgoing president for a generation now.

The whole point of it was ā€˜build back betterā€™ and what would have been an FDR style agenda. Thanks to two rogue Democrat senators it didnā€™t happen and accordingly Biden went rogue himself.

Though I repeat, the President is now above the law. To be clear the people he has pardoned were those who had the audacity to call out what happened on Jan 6. Do you think they should be open to prosecution?

ā€œAccordingly went rogueā€? Because he couldnā€™t get certain legislation through Congress?

I think anyone should be open to prosecution and entitled to due process - thatā€™s how the justice system should work. The alternative is this bizarre situation where presidents just arbitrarily dole out protection to their political allies and family members like theyā€™re handing out shields on The Traitors or something.

I agree itā€™s mental, but so are half of American laws.

Has such an affinity with the UK he spends all his time attacking their democratically elected government and threatening sanctions. With friends like theseā€¦

Hmmm, has he though ? Weā€™ve got plenty of senior politicians that have attacked him but not sure Iā€™ve seen much the other way round.

Not been on Twitter the last month I take it? Musk is his right hand man.

Trumps comments have mostly been restricted to our policy in the North Sea

And thatā€™s good or bad.

Oh, I know Musk has but hadnā€™t seen anything from trump. He does appear to have a bit of an affinity to U.K. but not sure that will supersede the issues he might have the members of the government
