BTA creates panic in defences but is a one footed striker who isn't very accurate. Bassette is a young player that isn't the finished article but needs a bit of game time. Both have their uses but are not good enough to be 1st choice striker. If we’re serious about getting up the table and out of this league in the coming seasons, we need a better sub than Bassette. BTA is a better player (right now) than Bassette so selling him with no replacement weakens the squad.
If BTA starts 8 of the next 11 games or so (as Bassette had done) he’ll have a chance to show his quality and his worth.
He’s nowhere near as bad a player as people like to make out on here.
Wright is at a totally different level to the pair of them but could strike up a good partnership with either. Both would make space for him with their runs.
