I think I’m coming down on the side of intentional troll, the problem with trolls is that it brings along people too stupid to realise it’s a troll.

Don’t know if anyone else spent time on 4chan as an edgy teen but I did way back in the “pools closed” days when it was mostly quite smart edgy people being racist and sexist for edginess. Over time as 4chan got more popular newfags arrived who didn’t get the irony and were just racist and sexist and before long they were the majority and the edgy trolls the minority.

If you look at the history of Nazism there was an awful lot of “just a prank bro” antisemitism at the start too.

The biggest issue is that there is now a President described by plenty former colleagues as a fascist who has full control over the Congress and SC, plus legal immunity from doing anything he likes.

Nah man. Musk kind of Asperger’s doesn’t get the impact of social norm breaking but knows that it’s breaking social norms. I’ve taught loads of Musk’s and been one myself. He will see it like the OK symbol = white power stuff and triggering the libs but he’ll know what he’s doing.

The normal, human, reaction of someone who has caused offence is to apologise for it rather than to double down on it. Autistic people might not always understand why they've upset people, but in my experience they don't deliberately set out to do so.

Autism isn't an excuse for Musk being such an unbearable prick. He knows what he's doing, honestly mate, don't kid yourself that he doesn't.
