Sometimes you have to take a young kid out of the firing line.

Don't re write history, he was making poor mistakes and decisions which cost him his place

Nah, not true. He had some great games. We were at Watford and he made some tremendous saves.

A few of you saying Dovin ‘outstanding’ ‘man of the match’ etc, and then only nine.
Tough crowd
Once you get yo 10 you can't get any better always room for improvement.
Still needs to distribute the ball out quicker, Imo

I think Robins made some comments, or it was inferred, about a lack of presence and communication from him.

Which I don't have too much of an issue taking out the firing line for a game or two.

The real problem was Collins staying in the team for so long despite being at fault for at least a goal a game. It was really bizarre
I think there were a few things:
1) it played in with this idea that we needed 'leadership' at the back
2) Defenders (Thomas?) kept shouting at him in game. Dovin had a bit of a mare on international duty and Robins was trying to look after him.
3) Wilson actually did okay too. Not the shot stopper Dovin is but he had 3 clean sheets in his 6 games this season and those were the first 3 clean sheets of the season.

It's a really difficult game to score, we were poor first half but went in a goal up, then scored right after half time knocking the stuffing out of Blackburn. We got a cleansheet but weren't particularly defensively solid, but at the end of the day we got th 3 points.

Precisely, the break allowed him to get his head together and regain his confidence.

Can't figure it out.

Robins never dropped dovin
Robins dropped dovin to give him confidence which is why he's good now

🤣
It's gone and in the past , this constant sniping is getting tiresome .
I still think King pulled the trigger early but CCFC is my club and I will back whoever is in charge .
Just hope some on here allow fair criticism of Lampard where it's warranted

Still think we are a creative player centrally short but am happy to be proven wrong when Wright and EMC are fit
Was hoping torp would be it but hasn’t quite got it yet, getting better though, wonder How wright and EMC both fit back in ? we’re just starting to look more balanced, not a bad problem to have though

It's really not difficult, Nick. Dovin missed 3 league games after a few negative headlines about him and was replaced by a guy who is 50/50 on clean sheet sheets this season. Irrespective Dovin was Robins' No1 for his last five games.

Yet somehow, every thread I open on here, someone is spouting cr@p about it being Robins' fault that Lampard picked Collins despite Robins not picking Collins once this season. There is no logic there. None at all.

Blame Carr if it makes you feel better about life but literally none of us would have picked Collins over Dovin. Buck lies with the manager at the time and no desperate attempt to pin it on anyone else should be entertained...

...but... Dovin is awesome, the team is winning and I still think Lampard has a chance of achieving something special with us. So instead of spraying sh1t around lets just move on... 😁

Dovin admitted himself in an interview that he struggles with the communication side & understands that he needs to work on it.

Just back, fekkin awesome. Made more noise with smaller number again tonight than for ages. Lots of deserved man love for Dovin, hope he's our keeper for the next 10 years but let's remember his high ceiling when he drops the inevitable clanger that sll keepers do occasionally (that's occasionally Brad if you're reading). Motm again, back to back clean sheets too.

Big shout out for MVE tonight too. Massive improvement and covered loads of ground. Still feel we've got something missing in midfield and they won a lot of headers, but are a big side so that's forgivable. Nice to see Ellis get a goal, let's see if he can kick on from here and get on a run.
