Why is he at Ryton if the terms haven’t already been agreed?
To look around and see the training facilities, have a nice cup of tea and maybe go see the Arena. 😁

Hmm, are we sure about this ? Why would a player play if the club couldn't offer more than say 10k at the end 🤔
We would agree the wage contributions with Rangers (how much we would pay towards).

Again we wouldn’t discuss contracts as there’s no guarantee we would sign him, might go other basics but would more be a discussion for the future

It feels like if gimoc breaks the news, generally it doesn't happen. Either that's wages break down, generally personalities of player and management don't click, or Sakamotos life threatening may not be able to walk again hip injury turns out it wasn't life changing after all

But generally doesn't happen. It's odd
You telling me Gus didn't really that contract

Do you know what , fair enough .

I cay argue something that I don't really know about I can't say I've ever been involved in a transfer

I've heard Doug was on that flight 6 years ago and didn't recognise Matondo until he saw him face to face at Ryton and immediately knocked 10k off his offer

Well surely wage demands can be negotiated ? Hence why agents and players meet up with clubs ?

They would be agreed before he rocks up in person to sign. He is more likely to have failed a medical if he turned up

I know a young lad at another championship club. When it’s a loan, you don’t really talk to the player outside of where he’ll play, get a vibe of him and the club.

If it was a obligation you’d sort the contract but as it’s an option, you’d more just be asking if you can would you be willing and where would you ball park be not the real discussion you’d expect.

Sounds more likely Lampard doesn’t like him if he doesn’t come

With Jodi Jones iirc everything was agreed up front.
In my own head , I'd want to know what I would be earning should a move be made permanent before coming.

But again , I don't know how it works .

Maybe the player is just a bellend as been said

The only way this has fallen apart based on wages is if it's not an option to buy but an *obligation* like Sheaf was.

In which case we'd be negotiating terms for his next contract up front.

But for a loan with an option, absolute nonsense that he has been at Ryton and wages is impacting the transfer. That is between Cov and Rangers, not Cov and the player.
