From the wales online. Seems the wage limit is about to be broken

Grimes is currently one of the top earners at Swansea, but could be in line for big pay rise should the move go through, with Coventry understood to be ready to offer him between £30k-£35k a week.
We’re paying nowhere near 30-35k or id imagine Haji will be banging down the door for a raise

True although I don’t think Hamer was on that much anyway.
I suppose the key is the extra income from the playoff final and transfers, so there is a need to maintain that to fiance the current establishment, though it's not like the club is running one so far above it's size that the losses must be incredibly high.

Reading their forum it appears that they view him wanting to move as an act of great treachery and are coming up with all manner of bollocks to make themselves feel better about his departure. There have been some daft wage figures banded about , claims that his passing is all 5 yards sideways and backwards , he can only kick with his left foot and what a fantastic bit of business this is.

No announcement, just release the line up as normal and have him on there 😂
I was told part of the agreement was that he can't play against Swansea. Happy enough if he can't turn out against us. Just need that Cundle to get injured in training now.

Now I’m sad cos we got rid of Hamer for no reason.

They’ve been criticising him for years, not just because he is leaving. Their concerns with him are all things I have noticed when watching him play too. The stats even back them up.

They are the fan based who laugh when we signed Vik, couldn't believe we even paid a fee for him.

Sure someone will tell me different but he was always going to go. I think Mark stated he told him this on the coach back.

I’m not going to get into this cos it triggers too many people but that’s not quite accurate I think he said the players were talking about it (him and Vik going) on the coach back.

He also said he was hopeful of him signing a new deal in August so it’s pays your money takes your choice I guess.

I think that could well be mischievous, from a reporter, with a view to unsettle our other players.

I really doubt that has come from Swansea or us. To be honest I’m not even sure why Swansea would know what we offer him anyway, that is different to the fee to them.

Unless the agents leaked to try and force it though after two offers were turned down?
