I thought there was,a player there but his work rate out of possession was poor.
I'm sure he learnt lessons that have helped him develop to where he is today.
No doubt but I think we could have seen the current player here if we had tried a bit more

But we made fa cup semis so can be argued we wouldn't have had he played possibly.

He was a tad better for us than you suggest.

This was in his second spell as player manager. In his spell here as a player we had an indifferent first season where we'd have been relegated but for Middlesbrough getting a points deduction: missed 75% of the following season through injury where we were a better side without him; came back in the third season and looked better; had a great fourth and final season which gives people a sunnier view of his overall time here.

Have to say I agree with this, he looked poor in his first season. Was then out injured when we had an upturn in form, then improved in the third season. His fourth season when his contract was expiring he was absolute class, and then he left on a free, and those near post floated corners...jesus.

You could argue that he didn't have the players around him to make use of his vision in that first year and I know people have different opinions of him, including ex players, but that's what I felt at the time.

Seems some can’t cope with the time between rumour and confirmation. Are they this impatient over the important things in life?

Re: your last paragraph, that's exactly what I'd argue.
Prior to that the team was very static.

Slightly different info to the Swansea end, but I'm told no training or anyone at Ryton today, day off with the busy schedule coming up

He is travelling up today though

Medical tomorrow, announcement tomorrow or Friday
Oh no....an additional day for someone to balls this up!🤣🤣

This isn’t a dig at the ITKs because they only pass on what they get told and it adds a lot of value to the forum!

It does seem that they get told contradictory things and specifics that may be exaggerated (things get lost in translation if the info 1st, 2nd or 3rd hand) or misinterpreted because we’re only humans.
"We're only human." Naa we're Cov City 💪
